I was looking up some stuff about Peter Berg after watching the possible last ever Friday Night Lights and noticed that among his list of writing/directing/acting achievements he had written and directed the pilot of a TV series called* Wonderland *. I became interested because the show featured a Dr Lyla Garrity, a name he recycled in Friday Night Lights.
On snooping around I found out that although Berg had spent 6 months at Bellevue talking with doctors and patients, and despite the fact that the storylines were believable and accurate, that a coalition of mental health advocacy groups began to slam it after one episode and it was taken off the air.
I am a huge fan of Peter Berg’s work and would love to see whatever was aired and learn more about it.
