In Lynn Bodoni’s defense, most citable articles on the intenet only date back to 1995 and later; these stories about Madonna and her gal pals cruising in a limo for teenaged Latino boys date back to the late 80s. I recall seeing it in a magazine interview with Debi Mazur from around that period; since I don’t hoard all my magazines from decades ago, that’s about as specific as I can get, cite-wise.
If you have kept all your back issues of Playboy, Penthouse, Esquire, Dirt, Details and Rolling Stone from that era, my hat’s off to you. You’ll be able to provide a more specific cite than I. You also might be Michael Richards or Maury Chaykin from Unstrung Heroes, though. The staff of Hoarders will be in touch with you shortly.
Why are people reading so much into the “old whore” description, anyway? She’s objectively speaking old (above the median human age, and certainly above the median age for whores), and she herself admits that she’s in the business of selling sex-- Didn’t she once call herself a “super-slut” in an interview? Put those two points together, and it makes her an old whore. Is there a problem with that?
Because the connotations of whore and old when it’s coupled with whore are derogatory. The opening poster is not saying she looks like an old whore because she’s passed the midpoint of the average human lifespan and because she has received money for sexualizing herself. He’s calling her that because he’s attempting to sling mud at someone who has attained a level of fame and fortune that he feels she’s unworthy of.
Not to mention she doesn’t literally sell her body. If she’s a whore, then so is every other popular performer in this country.
And the bottom line is that it’s pretty pathetic that in 2011 we’re still hearing the same tired shit about women. It doesn’t seem to matter who it is, or if a woman acts “slutty” or not, there are still going to be people who don’t like her calling her slut, whore, etc. I’ve heard Taylor Swift called a slut because she’s publicly dated a few guys. And she’s about as sweet and innocent as it gets when it comes to pop stars.
Back in the early 90’s I was reading a clubbing / rave magazine. In it there was a column on the New York scene and write-up about a new club that opened up. There were photos of the various celebrities who appeared, and Madonna was one of them. The caption under her very unflattering photo was:
“Who let this ugly homeless man in… OH! It’s Madonna”
Ha ha ha. I still laugh when I remember that. Oh, those wacky clubsters.
That being said, the photo in the OP is not a bad one at all, and I don’t think Madonna is a whore, and I do think the original poster is jealous, or has a weird chip on their shoulder, or something.
It seems that no one has asked Lynn “Club the Gay Baby Seals” Bodoni for a cite yet, so let me be the first one to do so. Lynn do you have a cite for that?
Well, if this truly is an excerpt of Madonna’s “Sex” book, then it’s pretty damning. How young does someone have to be in order to not have pubic hair yet?
My big problem with the OP is that Madonna does not look like an old whore in that picture. There are pictures out there of Madonna looking gaunt and stony-- like she’s had a life of being ridden hard and put away wet. She may be at an age where a whore is considered old and she may even have whore’d out her body for all I know but she does not look like an old whore (see picture I linked to for an example of what a real old whore looks like).
So it is my conclusion that the OP was talking out its ass when it said that Madonna looks like an old whore.
I believe that Brazilian model Jesus Luiz was 22 when he hooked up with Madonna.
There are several videos on youtube, showing Madonna and Jesus (naked).
So there is some foundation for this.
