It’s a tv show from the late 70s/early 80s. It’s sort of a buddy/buddy detective type show, except the gimmick is that one of the buddies is a robot. Or a bionic man or something.
The name of the show is something like “Gums & Yo-yo” I think.
TIA!

I freaking love this board.
1 minute!
The board must have timed out. Usually these people take 10 seconds or less to name that movie-song-book-show.
Don’t forget Future Cop, with Ernest Borgnine and Michael Shannon.
The internet never ceases to amaze me. I remember a cereal in the 60’s that was a mix of sugar pops, sugar smacks, and peanuts. Found it today. It was called Triple Snack. Finally dawned on me to search “Kellogg’s” and “peanuts”.
I think we’d all like to forget that.
I know Harlan Ellison would.
Don’t forget Super Fuzz. Strangely it also starred Borgnine in almost the exact same role. Worst. Movie. Ever.
“♫He’s a supa’ troopa’,♫ really supa’ dupa’,♫ he’s a supa’ fuzz!♫”
I remember this series. I loved the fact that Yo-Yo apparently had a Polaroid camera built into him. He would press his nose to take the picture, and the print would rise up out of his shirt pocket.
John Schuck, who played Yo-Yo, later played Herman Munster in The Munsters Today and also played a Klingon ambassador in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.
And occasionally, he’d get stuck in a loop, repeating, “I’m from the bunco squad.”
Sheesh, you think I could find *something *better to use that brain cell for.
Wasn’t “Yoyo” short for something like “Yoyanovich”? Or was he trying to pretend to be a real human? It’s been a long time since I watched that show…
Joe
I found out an interesting bit of trivia from Wiki. The executive producer of Holmes and Yo-Yo was Leonard Stern, a former writer from Get Smart, and Hymie, the robot from that show, is considered to be a prototype for Yo-Yo.
