Well, I sure as fuck did not vote for him. And I wouldn’t have voted for him if he had the biggest heart in the world, to everyone. It isn’t a quality that necessarily makes someone a good leader, or a bad one. It goes deeper than leadership. It’s more important.
I don’t see how someone in his position could talk about nuclear weapons the way an emotionally broken child might and still sincerely care for others or not have it tarnished.

Normal, emotionally healthy people are capable of seeing both their genetic reflection in their children, but also their children’s individuality. Normal, emotionally-healthy people can see their children as separate from themselves–as persons in their own right.
We have no evidence that Trump is able to see his children in this normal, healthy way.
But we do have evidence that he sees them only as extensions of himself–the comments about dating his approved-genetic-mirror Ivanka among them. More evidence: he does not make approving comments about those of his children who are less-pretty, less-likely to be successful. A reasonable observer might conclude that he won’t say nice things about them because he sees them as less-good mirrors of himself.
I think to be able to laugh also means being able to laugh at oneself, which requires a certain amount of humility. Trump has none.
