Don Juanna Is Here. It Must Be The MMP

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ YAWN

I Don Juan/Juanna go to work! However, I must, so I shall.

Nava at the very least you should rise up in righteous indignation. I won’t go so far as to say smite the heretic though. Said teacher definitely needs an education though.

doggio I am aware of Killer Clowns From Outer Space. I say it’s a must see. I’m just thinkin’ a movie with alien clowns and alien vampires would be like the jakest movie evah!

Tummy is growlin’ and demandin’ to be fed.

Happy Tuesday Y’all!

Morning, mumpers. I am at work, and I Don Juana today. Not for any particular reason, I’m just tired and unmotivated - these students are driving me nuts.

Rosie’s sig to all!

Morning all yawns I’m caffeinating … well, it’s in progress as I type! Don Juana is visiting me this morning for real. She’s urging me to get back into my bed. Unfortunately, I’m already completely dressed and ready to go in to work. Gah!

Happy Tuesday all.

Blurf. It’s the second Monday of the week. Why couldn’t it be Firday instead?

Brekkied, and off to get my second cup of WTHU.

Ha ha. I do. :o

Woke up with my sweetie, took the doggies out, then crawled back into bed for another coupla hours. When I heard daughter filling her water bottle with ice, I decided to get up. So I’m showered, dressed, and I just finished some cheese on multi-grain bread. OK, it was a cheese sammich. I’m also caffeinating.

And, surprise of surprises, someone from freecycle contacted me about the bathtub! She also asked about a sink, but I told her she doesn’t want our sink. So we’ll see if she’ll come and get the tub once we yank it out.

I’ve got to do laundry today - both baskets are full to overflowing and sitting at the top of the basement stairs. I need to haul them down and get started. Soon. Really. I will. I’ve still got to get the towels and sheets, but first things first. It’s supposed to be nice today, so I think I’ll hang stuff on the line.

And I’ve got supper started - a block of country style ribs. Well, it’s a block because it’s frozen solid, but I put it in the over at 180 and after an hour or so, I’ll break the pieces apart, pour some bbq sauce over them, then cover it with foil, bump the temp a wee bit, and let them cook all day. Yum.

On the bathroom front, I hope to get the sink and toilet out today. I may wuss out and leave the toilet base till **FCD **gets home, but I’m pretty sure I can get the tank off and out. And the vanity is big enough that I can easily crawl under there and figure out how to disassemble it and remove the Sink From Hell. I need to do that before SIL heads to work…

Had I been forced to go to work today, I’d have had a meeting this afternoon on a new project. Guess I won’t find out about it till Monday. Too bad so sad. :stuck_out_tongue: Instead, I think I’ll read the funnies!

Up, caffeinated, off to work again.

Blurf.

Is it Firday yet?

It was pretty good actually, thanks for asking. One fly in the ointment was the 12-hour visit from his old buddy (who I knew) who was the real life Liar Guy and not nearly as entertaining as John Lovitts. I really enjoy my lil bro, though.

mooooom, those ribs sound delish!! I’ll have to try that some time. Does it work with baby backs cause I have an extra slab in the freezer?

It is still frikkin’ HOT here. I’m not liking these 100-degree-heat index days in October. Supposedly then end is in sight and I’ll have my lovely Fall in Flawduh back.

Oh, and in case I didn’t make it clear before, my job is really biting the big one right now. :stuck_out_tongue:

I am preparing for the big trip out of the day. I’ve got to check my p.o. box for $$$ and go to the bank. But honestly right now it seems like going back to sleep is a much better idea.

Puggy, I’ve never done baby back ribs, so I can’t say for sure, but I don’t see why not. The recommended “done” temp for pork is 160°F, so I would set the oven no higher than 180° and let them go all day. I’d keep 'em covered to keep 'em from drying out. Since mine are really thick and I want the meat falling apart, I’ve got it at 200 for now. Some time this afternoon, I’ll drop it to 175 or so and just let it sit. Today’s bbq sauce is honey flavor. Should be yum.

Dishwasher is washing, and first load of laundry is about to go out on the line. Still haven’t touched the bathroom yet. I’ll get to it. Eventually…

US dairy farmers. Raw milk is priced by weight, not volume for some reason I don’t quite get.
:stuck_out_tongue:

Maybe it’s the best way of determining butterfat content. After all, you can water down milk to increase the volume…

I dunno - just my guess.

Ugh. It’s raining. It’s pouring. And I’m wet. Forecast for some areas is eight inches of rain. That’s well beyond the ability of an umbrella to manage. So now, the office smells like wet bear.

So off to work and dry out.

We’ve got sun, but starting tomorrow, we’re promised 5 straight days of highs in the 50s and chance of rain every day. rah.

Fourth load in the washer, first three on the lines. I’ve had lunch, and I should probably go start tearing apart the sink. I got an email from someone who claims to want the tub and toilet - that would be nice…

It has been determined that Pie, despite protestations to the contrary, is a dairy farmer.

I suspect the dairy farmers are weighing milk in amounts greater than 165gr, though. Then again, the appropiate abbreviation is g and it took us a while to figure out that the “40gr tangerines” didn’t mean huge tangerines, nor two normal-sized tangerines, neither did it mean 40g of tangerine segments. It meant 40g of tangerine juice. We assume it was to be freshly-squeezed, but the jury is still out on that one.
I went downtown to ask about Unseen Academics, it’s not out in softcover yet, came back with Freakonomics, a murder mystery, a series of military minibiographies and three of the Pterrys I didn’t have yet (I believe I’d read one of the three). Since all of them were on “3 for the price of 2” deals, that means I was actually moderate.

Sink and cabinet are gone. They had plastered around the drain and supply lines, so SIL beat it out with a hammer. And they had dated the inside of the vanity - October of 1988. I wish I understood their obsession with dating stuff around their house.

Time to take the toilet apart. I may wait for FCD for that little adventure. But I will remove the rest of the tile “baseboard” and sweep up the crud that was under the vanity. Oh, and we found another piece of wallpaper - this a dark shades-of-blue-and-green-and-purple - how stunning that must have been in a bathroom with no window.

Howdy Y’all! One down and four to go. ‘Twas a good day. I don’t think I contemplated blowin’ up the place even once.

MOOOOOOM that bathroom is beginning to sound like it was decorated by Evil Alien Decorators From Outer Space, which is another good idea for a movie!

Puggy glad the visit with Lilbro went well. I like seein’ my bros but I really enjoy gettin’ to visit my sis. We have such a good time together. Ok, we drink a lot of beer and I show her weird websites. It entertains us.

Dindin tonight shall be leftovers from yesterday. I’m lazy. Deal.

You’ve found me out at last!

Are the tangerine juice and the milk supposed to go together?? :dubious:
I’ve actually been moderately productive today between allergy-induced sneeze attacks. The hot glue gun is my friend.

Ok, I’ve used up my smiley quota for the day so I guess I’d better get back to work. :smack::wink:

I’ll make up for that. I still want to blow those suckers up.

Today’s fortune cookie:
If your work is not finished,
blame it on the computer

Still raining cats and dogs and I’m quite wet below the knees. An umbrella is not much defense against rain blowing sideways. Just a moment ago, I heard <squeeeeee><crunk> When will people ever learn that the first rain of the season means the roads are extra slick with ten months worth of old oil getting washed off?
