Don Juanna Is Here. It Must Be The MMP

Wouldn’t that be Faaaaaaabulous Evil Alien Decorators From Outer Space? Or do we just assume that if they’re decorators, they’re faaaaaaaaaabulous??

Tank is off the toilet. Last of the tiles are out on the trailer. **FCD **will help me take up the base later, and we’ll transport both pieces outside. Tomorrow, we’ll get all the tile flooring up, and with luck, the tub will come out tomorrow evening. I do have a little more sheetrock to take down so the replacement piece will butt up against a stud. Then I need to make a shopping list so I can start putting it back together. I think SIL is off on Thurs, so I’ll recruit him to make a dump run with me, then swing by Lowe’s for the luaun, the sheetrock, and the tub surround, since we’ll have the trailer. The rest of the crap I have to buy is small enough to fit in my car.

I may actually start putting it back together on Friday! YAY!

The ribs are smelling yummerrific. I need to figure out what sides to make. And my laundry didn’t dry completely, so I’m having to toss it into the dryer. At least it should only take 10 or 15 minutes a load instead of the usual 50…

Thus endeth my second working day at home. Mucho knitting tonight.

I got home from work at 9.45 this evening. Urgh. Tired.

Tomorrow I head to Tunisia for work

And I haven’t packed

And because the communal heat is not switched on in the building yet my laundry isn’t dry

And I don’t have a tumble dryer

I am going to bed - I will pack in the morning

Night night!

I could offer you snow instead of rain, gotti. It still results in lots of <squeeeeee><crunk>'ing though.

Corn bread, FCM. BBQ needs corn bread. And maybe green beans.

I’m having a productive, but grumpy, day. I just feel like snapping at everyone. GRRRRRRRRR. Go AWAY. That is NOT my job. I don’t mind “going the extra mile” once in a while, but making up data that is going to go live into production does not qualify.

Sorry about the rain, gotti. Hope it dries up soon.

Hope your laundry dries before you have to pack, mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

You sound hopelessly productive, FCM. Could you stop by my house later in the week?

Am home after two brief visits to work that were separated by a visit from the furnace guy who fairly quickly diagnosed the problem, went out for a replacement part (because, of course, the parts he had in his van didn’t include what I needed), replaced the part and got everything working again. At least I was able to do a fair amount of picking up and cleaning while the guy was here. He was (as are many repair people) quite the chatty person, but I managed to abandon him to his work after a bit of chatting so that I could get stuff done upstairs.

Bottom line: I have heat now. Yay!

Guess I should investigate din din possibilities.

Really ought to go out and get stuff for lunches this week, too.

Back later.

Corn bread! Of course! Sheesh, I knew that… Thanks, taxi!

FCM, you have been all too productive. It almost makes me feel bad for being totally lazy today…not quite, but almost. My great accomplishment of the day was taking a shower before my hair decided to crawl off my head in protest, it needed a wash so bad.

Heat is good to have, though mine’s off again. It’s not even supposed to freeze tonight. I don’t need it on if it’s above freezing.

If I was really productive, I’d have torn the floor up today. But I did get 4 loads of laundry done, and the 5th is in the machine now, since *someone *wanted a specific shirt for his big meeting tomorrow… The toilet is sitting on the front porch - I feel so redneck!

Supper was yum - the corn muffins and green beans were just the right touch. Too bad we don’t have hot fudge sundaes for dessert. Oh well…

Time to knit!

I am home.

I had an awful day today at the library. I don’t want to talk about it. I am glad I’m off tomorrow. It’s not the library, it’s me.

Hope everyone is well. Good night.

{{{{{rigs}}}}.

Since I didn’t have jury duty today, I went in to work. Tuesdays after a long weekend are crazy. I went non-stop today.

My new supervisor was in and seems very nice. I’m hoping we have a good working relationship.

My boss (the division chief and my direct report since February) is TDY this week, but couldn’t resist calling today to tease me and give me grief (twice). It’s all good. He and I get along very well.

My daughter drove my son’s car to school today and made it there and back in one piece. The car made it too!:stuck_out_tongue: She has discovered the pure suckage that is late afternoon, early evening traffic in these parts and wasn’t happy about it. As she gets more comfortable driving, I’ll suggest alternative routes for her. She is direction and landmark impaired. Since she really didn’t drive previously, she didn’t pay attention to how to get somewhere and back. Right now, she’s driving the “easiest” (read: least amount of turns) to school. As she’s more comfortable, I’ll show her how to get around downtown Tacoma and alternative routes home, to Puyallup.

I guess I should figure out what we’re having for dinner. I’m going to relax for a few more minutes though.

Hugs and smooches to all.

blurf - glad the day is over

Worked, came home, Papa John brought dinner. I’m finishing the minutes, since I fell asleep in the middle of them last night.:dubious:

Sorry your day was crappy, rigs. Hope tomorrow’s better.

I’ve started my next scarf, which is a kind of lacy, wide one to go with the tweed coat that I scored at the thrift store last year. I’m still playing with the design and can imagine that I’ll start it a couple of times before I come up with the final formula.

It’s nice to have heat again, although I seem to have more of a draft than I remembered. Guess I’ll need to check to make sure everything’s sealed right.

Back to knitting…

OK, bedtime for me. In case you were wondering…

nighty night!!

Went down to the local Pho place for dinner. Ordered the small bowl, couldn’t finish it, so will have the leftovers for dinner.

Soooooooooo very full right now.

It’s been a fairly productive day here too but I’m too lazy to list all of the various accomplishments. There was one slightly sad/strange thing that I discovered today. My halloween costume just will not work. Obviously I’ve never tried this before, but as it turns out…

People with boobies as big as mine should never, ever wear halter tops. :D:p

Pie, you realize, of course, that the guys here will want pictorial proof of why you shouldn’t wear a halter top, right?

Ugh, I’m still so full from dinner that I feel kind of sick. What was I thinking?! Oy vay, my poor tummy.

I hear dat!

Yes, in the mousse that goes between the two slices of jelly. One of my classmates (who cooks) declared that the whole “make a sandwich with the mousse and the jelly” seemed very pretentious, I pointed out the whole recipe sounds like something you may get when eating out but not at all like something you’d make at home. What’s absurd is that the amounts listed are pretty much single-portion, that doesn’t match with the artsiness.

As for your discovery, I’m reasonably sure there are people who consider you absolutely should wear a halter top. If it happens to halt traffic hey, that’s City Hall’s problem, not yours!

Some decorators are about as fabulous as a dead frog. Limp-wristed, maybe; fabulous, no way. Let us please not mistake both.

For example, those someone mentioned in another thread, who were making people paint walls without taking off switch-and-plug covers (where’s the halo smiley when you need it?)

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN

It’s sorta rainy here today. Meanin’ I hear it rain for a minute or two and it stops, then starts again.

CutiePie that’s never stopped people with big boobies from wearin’ halter tops to WallyWorld.

Ok, need brekkie, more caffiene and work purtification.

Later Y’all!

Morning all, it’s a beautiful day over here and things are looking good - I even managed to lose 2lbs at Fat Club last night which means my target weight is only 3.5lbs away now.

Moooooom, I am exhausted reading about your bathroom exploits and jealous at the same time becuase I wouldn’t have a clue where to start. However, I stand by my principles and “get a man in”. That does not necessarily mean 'im indoors!

We’re going out for beerverages tonight but I’ve just had an email from our usual midweek drinking buddies to say that they can’t make it so we’ll be wandering round to our local and partaking of the delights of Fuller’s “London Pride”.

Happy times!

(((((rigs))))) - chin up, chick!
