The real problem is the article is titled the way it is. I’ve stopped trusting Talking Points Memo.
Trump just gave a big speech in AZ on immigration. Here are some of the highlights:
Personally, I don’t really have a problem with his prioritization, and it’s not all that different from the DREAM Act stuff that Obama has tried to do, just in reverse (instead of de-prioritizing “good” illegals, Trump would prioritize “bad” illegals).
As for the “first hour” stuff, he touched on similar themes as well:
I think it’s pretty clear he intends to make border security / illegal immigration a priority, but I don’t see how a reasonable person could get from this that he or anyone really thinks he’s going to catch all 12 million illegals and round them up and send them back in the first few hours / days / months of his administration.
This all seems like pretty standard fare where a candidate outlines what he’ll focus on getting done at the start of his administration. Lots of candidates outline plans for their “first 100 days” and things like that.

Seriously? You think they have something more incriminating than that which over two decades of muck-raking by the best GOP muckrakers in the business have not managed to dredge up? Something especially damning that only exists in the digital realm, in her email?

Locally in Arizona I have seen the executive branch talk as if any illegal is a criminal. So yeah, I do have reasonable and personal reasons to think that while 12 million illegals will not be deported the reality is that ignoring what full of hate enforcers of the laws like Arpaio will do when deciding how to interpret the law is a problem.
And it is not only me as an Hispanic telling you that, I have to report that in a school where I sometimes do IT work there is a very old, white, conservative teacher’s aid, the kind that usually is planning to vote for Trump and he attended his latest rally here in Arizona.
He just confided to me and other workers that after what he saw in that rally he is NOT going to vote for Trump. Somehow knowing Hispanics and other minorities that will be hurt by the spewed hatred from Trump can change the mind of a Republican. So hopefully many on the fence can finally see what a bad idea has been to put Don the Con in the ticket.

I don’t see why WikiLeaks thinks it’s a good idea to piss off Hillary. One way or another, Hillary is most likely going to be elected. Why piss off the future president-to-be, who can take measures against WikiLeaks?
