See, now I want to believe this is all just an overly-elaborate plan to pardon himself.
Yes, everyone can see that’s what he’s doing. However, slinging a pack of racist accusations that a judge is biased because of his race is not magically non-racist even if Donald is just saying it to protect his standing with his idiot racist fans.
In fact, undermining the American judicial system by making racist accusations about the judge for his own personal benefit is conduct unbecoming in a man who aspires to be President. By baselessly accusing the judge of bias for his own personal gain, Donald Trump shows himself unfit for public office.
Republicans are not racists, they are just tolerant and accepting of other people’s eccentricities! We could all profit from their example.
I sent them a potato last year! Now they’re sad again?
It’s horrible to judge a group by the circle of associates it’s spent decades cultivating and pandering to. Why, that’s guilt by association! Guilt by repeated, knowing, deliberate association!
Thanks for posting Sotomayer’s comments. You saved me the trouble.
So you disagree with Justice Sotomayor? Okay.
Here - I’ll do you the favor of reposting CarnalK’s response back in post #1299 that the Justice Department has already reversed itself on that order, eight months ago,
So the Obama Justice Department realized their error, admitted they were wrong and are making amends. Unlike You-Know-Who.
Also: God damn this Republican bullshit of racing to find a vague comparable example of Democratic bad behavior and then acting like it somehow absolves them of condemning or, heaven forbid, rectifying some Republican’s bad behavior.
I think He might want to consider looking into Dick Cheney’s pockets.
The oddest part is the attitude of “We found something sorta comparable and that means we can continue wallowing in the sewage.”
Take a message. If they call again, take a message. Third time, take a message. Then call back and say, “Hi, this is elucidator! Any calls for me?!”
OK, it actually works better on Estonians . . .
The Dem and Pub Establishments . . . corporations that offshore and outsource . . . China . . . Latinos . . . Muslims . . . Political Correctness . . . veterans . . . POW veterans in particular . . . OK, who’s next on Trump’s Enemies List, and how can this actually be happening?!
Lol. To begin with, Sotomayor’s one remark in a speech she gave one time, 15 years ago does not mean that she believes that judges are incapable of being impartial in case which touch on their ancestry.
Secondly, Sotomayor expanded on that one remark during her confirmation hearing, in which she specifically rebuted the notion that judges are inherently biased in favor of their ethnicity:
So yeah, as a matter of fact, I do agree with Sonia Sotomayor.
But thanks for providing a timely illustration of a Republican snatching wildly at Democratic troubles in hopes of deflecting attention from your team’s malfeasance.
ETA: and speaking of timely - that LA Times article is seven years old. Octopus’ reference to Sotomayor was rebuted over half a decade ago. Your figleaf is looking kind of tatty, boys.
Trump accuses soldiers of stealing millions while in Iraq.
And he just keeps sinking lower…and lower… and lower. And I’ll bet his supporters don’t waver one bit.
Good side of it:Watching McConnell and Ryan and all the rest squirm.
He first made the same accusation last October and it didn’t hurt him one bit then.
Trump missed the obvious solution – personal walls. The government should build personal, portable bullet-proof walls for every American. If a terrorist starts shooting, get behind your personal wall. Problem solved. And if you’re not one of those liberal sissies, shoot back at the terrorist and kill him dead!
We will build these 300 million personal walls right here in the good ole USA creating full employment. Every American will have a job and be safe from terrorism.
But… I thought building walls was Mexican work! No white man should need to build his own wall!
I just read a series of tweets that claim to be a very scary description of Trump supporters’ behavior at a NC rally tonight. It makes me wonder, with all the media play during the general, whether those kinds of supporters might end up doing more damage to the campaign than the candidate himself.
