The things that are growing the fastest in our yard are the weeds coming through the cracks in the driveway.

Yeah, I’ve got thistles coming up in the back yard. They handle drought really well.
Bump.
Thank goodness there are no thistles here.
Bump.
I envy you. There is an unkempt alley behind us. There will be thistles.
Bump. Also, ouch!
Yeah, a few thistles here too.

My problem is Manitoba maples. Their seeds get everywhere, and sprout where they are least wanted.

Here, in town, if you look right on the line between two properties, you’ll often see an ailanthus growing where each neighbor left it to the other to pull the small weed that eventually grew into an obnoxious tree.

My grandson mows mine.
Bumpity bump.
I don’t have a lawn. Good thing, 'cuz I don’t have a grandson either. I just gotta bump.
Speaking of lawns, there was a pretty big storm in Wisconsin just the other day. No damage on my end thankfully, but I spent a whole day helping clean my grandpa’s lawn of branches and such. It was hard, but I’m happy to help out my grandpa.
Bump.
I can’t get to my lawn today. Rain is in the forecast.
Bump.
(Ha ha. Now that everyone is distracted by my other thread I am free to bump this thread at will. Rubs hands. Cackles, a little too loudly. Decides one needs a snack.)
Still need to mow lawn. The odds of it happening after a work day are slim. Oh, well. I managed to water the beds. Early Monday is after 6 PM Sunday, right? (Water restrictions.)
Bump.
CIBOLA!!
