Woke up at 4:35 when the alarm went off to read an email that said go back to bed. However, I woked up just enough for the bladder to say get up NOW. Still may fly tonight, though.
I hope she made monkey noises as a planned part of the concert & not of her own volition. :o
::shudder:: Plain bagel??? yeech. KK on the other hand is awesomest. Unfortunately I only know of one anymore & that’s about 30-35 miles away. Doggio are you flying or driving? I’m on the way of the latter & know good beer places. Just sayin’
Howdy Y’all! Today I made cheese thangs, had N.O.L. at the not too shabby Chinese [del]hog trough[/del] buffet place and visited with JDD’s 'rents to honor their anniversary. I’ve had a busy weekend. I’m glad tomorrow is Moanday so I can rest.
swampy, you’ll be tickled to know that my new digs has a bathroom linen closet that will hold the sooper dooper jumbo sized package of tp.
The public rooms are beginning to look fit for human habitation, sans the pictures being on the walls and a few broken down cartons waiting for the next time I go out towards the dumpster. Now to tackle the studio stuff in the laundry room so they can get the washer and dryer in Tuesday.
After I folded and put away the laundry that went in the dryer, I decided I needed to put up the shelves we intended for the garage. There are only 3 shelves so the garbage cans can fit under them, but that’s 3 shelves’ worth of stuff that’s not on the floor or piled on other stuff.
It’s not a difficult feat with 2 people, but **FCD **couldn’t help in his condition, and the nasty chore fell to me. There was a fair bit of cussin’ and fussin’, but I got it done and all the stuff that was stacked on the camper trailer is now on the shelves When the potential buyer comes over on Tuesday, it should be fairly easy to pull the trailer out to the driveway and set it up.
In about an hour, I’ll bring in the rest of the laundry off the lines before throwing together something for supper. All I’ve eaten today is a PB&J, some watermelon, and a popsicle. I need some real food. Unfortunately, my sweetie doesn’t want to eat and I really hate cooking for 1. I may go get something. Or not. Dunno…
Been lazy today. Not accomplished a thing except rest and watching the Olympics. I need to shower and do some laundry, figure out clothing for tomorrow. We cooked a big ole chicken yesterday so the leftovers will be supper.
Lucky Louie did get his Sunday bath and since we are out of doggie shampoo we used some organic body wash so he smells like a coconut.
I’ve never ventured into an MMP. It always moved so quickly I was intimidated! But this is my kind of thread. Doughnuts and kazoos, oh yeah! For my first submission I offer:
Will think good thoughts. I’ve had a few family members on that list and signed up as possible donors; I’ll call the whole clan in to speed all the prayers we can muster.
Went to help at a motorcycle event today. Much fun was had. And 5 days we invade Knoebels. All in all a good week to be me. See yinz tomorrow.
Sah-son should have listened to me. I said let’s put down paper before putting down the mulch and he wanted to be lazy. Already weeds are growing up in the mulch.
We got the back yard done today. Although there are still branches that need to be cut up and I want to cut down a small maple tree. I’ll wait until winter for that, it’ll be easier without all the leaves. We should have cut it down last year. If it would stay the same size it is now I’d let it stay, but it’s going to get too big the live in that spot.
We mowed over the bunny nest, I think they are big enough to find another place to live.
They can always live in the wildflowers.
I still need to do a little laundry, and make hamburgers. I bought some nice tomatoes and didn’t take them out of the plastic bag. Now I have fuzzy tomatoes :(.
::sigh:: The more I do the more I see that needs to be done.
I’ll make the first suggestion for your official Mumper nickname - Montana! What say ye, Mumpers??
I ran to WaWa for a salad for my sweetie and a sub for me. The dishes are done. All laundry is put away. I can’t believe the weekend is gone. I’m definitely going to talk to the boss about going to a 32 hour week after my vacation.
**sari **- I was going to suggest a thick layer of newspaper. You now need to roll up some of that newspaper and whack your offspring with it!
All day long it has threatened to rain. We got one little shower. Yet the forecast says to expect up to six to eight inches of rain in the next three days. I am beginnin’ to think the weather PTB need to start takin’ their meds again.
Montana welcome! Jump in anytime and say anything. Especially TMI. We lurve us some TMI!
red it does me proud to know you took into consideration space for plentiful tp when you were lookin’ for new digs.
Back from the Speedwayville Horsepistol. CatDad (that’s going to be his official MMP name) had a small stroke on the right side of his brain that accounts for some but not all of the dementia. He keeps saying random things and he’s confused by things he didn’t used to be confused by. Like zucchini. He asked me twice what that was, and he used to grow it. At least he remembered my name (he didn’t remember Older Sister’s yesterday although he could spell it).
They’re going to do some more tests to see if maybe he’s been having silent strokes as well as the tiny one. It’s a possibility–Old Southern Grandpa had a lot of strokes before he went into The Home.
I just heard that an old friend of mine passed away last night. We have known each other -shit close to 30 years? 25 definitely, and a few more beyond that. Early 40s, and he shouldn’t have died and left a young daughter to mourn him so soon.
Hugs your way. I would like to say that as we get older, loss gets easier to deal with but it doesn’t. Every friend who passes makes me feel that much richer for having known them but that much poorer for not having them around longer.
