Who am I to give unsolicited advice? Hell, I can’t even code!
You code better than I spell apparently… together we are one perfect poster… or one not so good one
Hey–are you still reading this thread right now, and do you have an IM program of some kind?
I am … and do… respond to my email at the home address
Popping in …
Canadian coke is made with sugar, iirc, whereas American coke is made with corn syrup. Both sides claim that theirs is superior.
Aero bars are a tool of the devil. They taste good, sure, but I still can’t wrap my mind around paying for air bubbles.
Canadian Smarties are the same as M&Ms and I will go to my grave proclaiming this. And Smarties are really what Canadians call Rockets.
And Elenfair is going to kill me if she ever sees this post.
Canadian Smarties are NOT the same as M&Ms… the chocloate tastes different, they are thinner so the crunch differently, and the colours of Smarties are more varied… so

Aeros still have 42g of choclate in them. they are just bubbled out more rather than be the size of say, a Skor bar… (mmm Skor bars).
One ther Chocolate bar difference is that in Canada Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups come 3 to a pack, not 2.

Oh, of course. Godiva stores tend to show up in the malls, where there’s a high concentration of people with more money than sense. To my mind, the stuff is good, but it’s not worth the month’s salary it would take me to buy a pound of raspberry truffles.
I might not feel that way if Godivas weren’t considered status symbols. I think a lot of people here go nuts for Godiva chocolate because of the high-class connotations of having the stuff, rather than because they truly love the chocolate itself. That bugs me, and it makes me resent paying out the nose (or out the root of my sweet tooth) for it.
Godiva is the closest thing to walking in the mornings past all of the chocolatiers in Belgium on the way to school… between those places and the bread places it is a wonder that I lived there and stayed thin…
That is why I go to Godiva… though it isnt quite as fresh… It is also 90% of the time the only brand of chocolate that I will give to anyone as a gift for the very reason that it reminds me of Belgium.
The hamsters are making posting or doing anything else on the SDMB very irritating right now.
I’m in the middle of writing you a reply to the first e-mail you sent me.
I can empathize, then, with why you like Godivas. There are things that I miss from places I’ve visited, too. I’ve never lived anywhere but the US, though.
Tell me about the places you have travelled
Canada (both Anglophone and Francophone), Mexico, Israel, and the Dominican Republic.
I might go to Ecuador this summer, but I doubt it. I want to finish my thesis and graduate by the end of next fall.
I just sent you an e-mail.
I am responding. Israel? That must have been quite the experience. Care to… expand… on the topic?
I’ll tell you more by e-mail.
k… think we should turn over this thrice hijacked thread back to the OP?
If you’d like.
At this point, most of the discussion is about either chocolate, talking to women, or various stuff we’re chatting about. I, for one, have no major problem with threads getting off-topic, but I am perfectly willing to curb the hijacking if other people find it annoying.
Well then back to whatever it is we decide to chat about. Assuming the hamsters allow us to.
Of course my friends swear that the internet is run by little demons. I wonder who is right.
Curious, I don’t know if you’re still reading this thread.
I’m writing you an e-mail right now.
You know… you wouldn’t think so. But I am.
Well, check your e-mail.
No. YOU check yours.
