Doom Patrol season 3

I have loved Michelle Gomez ever since her Dadaist role in Green Wing, so I was excitedly anticipating this season.

But I’m up to episode 7 and I feel like nothing is really happening. I loved the first two seasons. And Rita still brightens up the screen whenever she appears.

But Cyborg bores me. And none of the story lines seem to be advancing at all.

I finally got to the end of Season 3. This season has been a real slog.

I just didn’t get the whole Sisterhood of Dada story and I the whole time travel plot never grabbed me.

And I still don’t get Larry’s story this season. And the slug thing grossed me out.

I’m tired of spending time in the Underground.

The Brotherhood of Evil didn’t quite live up to its potential for goofy fun. I did like the scenes featuring Monsieur Mallah. The Garguax hah was good.

The acting was all excellent, especially April Bowlby, Michelle Gomez, and Brendan Fraser.

But I’m unsatisfied. I don’t quite understand what I watched. Did anyone else watch this season? Can anyone explain the themes and arcs?

I did watch the season but I’m afraid I can’t explain any of the themes and arcs. I walked away basically feeling the same as you… individual episodes were OK and I did enjoy Michelle Gomez’s performance but ultimately I didn’t really follow the season as a whole.

I suppose you could argue that adding a dadaist twist to this show in particular, not making a whole lotta sense is part of the appeal. But I liked s1 and s2 better.

Yep. Seems like we are in the same boat. I wonder what overall viewership was like over the three seasons.
