Jonathan, if you could essay directions coming at your place from the South, I’d be most grateful. When not going to DC proper or the immediate vicinity, we often use US 17 Fredericksburg-Winchester to bypass the heavy traffic, so bringing us north from Warrenton or the US-17/I-66 interchanges would be all we’d need.
From 17, take 66W to 28N. Take 28N to 267W, and follow Jonathan’s directions from there. Double check all that, of course.

I’d say it would be better to take 17 to 15 and taken Route 15 N to Leesburg. From there you can take the directions I’ve posted.
