Why would my kid be punished because I’m smoking pot?
As first time parents, my husband and I decided that while we wouldn’t volunteer anything about having tried some drugs in our younger years, we would answer honestly about it if asked. We were earnest, but apparently not too effective. Not 10 minutes after we told my then 10-year old son, in answer to his inquiry, that yes, we had tried a few things in college, I overheard him on the phone telling a friend that his parents were drug addicts!
