We finally have reliable transportation again! I’ll try to make it up there this year, and drag the SO along if she won’t let me drive myself. She’d be more willing to come along if you can save her a drumstick.
Bring a complete set of Powerlords action figures (including the Mountain Of Power playset), a piece of trinitite the size of a tennis ball, and a 1920s Style Death Ray.
You told me no desserts which kills much of my cooking repertoire but I might be able to throw a few loaves of bread together if I get home from Voicenet’s party at a decent enough hour.
I could probably grab a case 'o beer as well if there’s not too much coming already.
Wow, i’ve been gone a long time, had to remember how to quote…
Anyway, Rolls I can manage no matter what, homemade bread I may be able to do as well/instead. Either way the Merosmobile v.4 will be bring bread (and maybe a passenger, she hasn’t let me know yet)
You don’t need to keep canned squid in a cooler. It’s been canned. Malt soda can also be stored at room temperature.
The cooler will only be needed if I try to bring “bar cheese” or “cheese curd”. Those phrases appear as the identifiers on the English labels cheese cake bites. I realized they meant cheesecake when I saw that varieties included chocolate, vanilla, nut, coffee, honey, and lemon. I’m just not sure whether my cooler can keep them cold on the trip to 30th st, and for two more hours on the trip to the house of Dave and Ginger. I’m also not sure which varieties of which brand to buy.
I could go with a jar of assorted pickled mushrooms. But, what if nobody likes them?
I could go with salo. But, I don’t think anybody will want some raw, salted pig fat?
I could bring some Rasputin tea. But, I’ve never tried it and it might be awful.
People, you’re not helping. If I show up with something everybody hates, you only have yourselves to blame.
I’d also like to avoid running around the store for a few hours as I ponder the hideous consequences of buying the wrong thing, or not buying enough of the right thing.
Does anyone else like halvah? Turkish delight? A jar of gefilte fish?
