Dope The Halls V - MADs take note

Doc, put yourself at ease. Bring something chocolate.

No such thing. Bring all the beer you can carry. In an 18 wheeler.

So if you bring cheese curd, will someone bring french fries and gravy so we can have poutain in honor of our Canadian host?

Excuse me, I misspelled that. I meant “poutine.” I do not speak this Canadian language of yours very well.

I would be more than happy to make poutine. There will be other Canadians here, so we will collectively mock you when you mispronounce the word.

And we will mock your attempts to say “house”.

I say ‘house’ just like you.

You do not. eh?

C’mon – no need to argue aboot it. :stuck_out_tongue:

As a note, short of black ice coating the roads, I will be there.

Despite Gingy’s inevitable protests, I will not wrap myself in Saran Wrap, so it’s entirely possible that my reek will drive everyone from the premesis.

We intend to bring a selection of Pringles unless the host & hostess would like to request something else.

OK, OK, you can stop wailing and gnashing your teeth. FCD found out a bit more about his work party and decided it wouldn’t earn him any political points, so we shall be Dopin’ the Halls! I saw way back somewhere that Ginger will be unlocking the door at 2, is that correct? Because we will be among the earlies. I’ve got my last ceramics class in Annapolis that morning, then I need to scoot over to the mall and find me some sweaters. After that, we’ll be heading to Dundalk.

So, what needs to be brought? I can either build something tomorrow, or get something while I’m shopping. What does the groaning board lack?

Oh yeah, and this is formal, right? Tuxedo and tiara?

I’ll wear my tiara if you wear yours…

You mock, but I actually have a tiara. Bring whatever you like, FCM! I’m so glad you’re going to make it. I’ll email directions toute de suite.

I mock not – I actually have two tiaras. I think I’ll wear the more comfortable one.

Shoot - now I wish I had a tiara. I don’t even have a snood, but I do have a cool red fleece hat!

Bring anything, huh? Well, there’s this bottle of prune juice that the Easts left behind when they moved… but I think I can do better than that.

If my tailor can get off his but and finish them in time, I’ll wear a top hat and tails. To finish the outfit, I need the right kind of t-shirt and a pair of gaudy gaucho pants, several sizes too large.

Say the word and I’ll bring my spare…

Well, that leaves me out. My tiara’s at the cleaners.
Can I come attired in ‘dressy casual’? Or are tacky Christmas sweaters required?

I’m going sweater shopping, but I refuse to own any tacky holiday-related sweaters! Considering Saturday’s chill, I’ll most likely wear jeans and a turtleneck. It’d be nice if my new boots arrived by then, but I don’t expect them till next week. Oh well, sneaks will do.

Tomorrow I’ll figure out what I’m going to bring.
