I don’t have the gauchos yet. But when I heard people complaining about gauchos, I looked at some and they really would complete the outfit. As I plan on playing with the Children Of The North, I’ll wear some jeans. I talked with my tailor this morning, and he is still behind schedule. But, I will be wearing the tail coat and top hat on saturday regardless of how unfinished it may be.
DancesWithCatsSpats are not a bad idea. I considered having a cobbler make me a pair of custom shoes to match the hat and coat. But, spats are cheaper, take less time to make, and will outlast whatever pair of shoes they are worn over. I just wished you had mentioned this earlies. Spats also require buttons. Should I go with more large and tasteless buttons? Or should I go with something more subdued?
Wait a minute! GingerOfTheNorth, don’t you own a sewing machine? I don’t think it would be that helpful with the hat and coat. But, it would reduce the time required to make spats by at least 50%. It would also greatly reduce the time needed to make a Spider-Girl costume for my niece.
