Bring whatever you like, Creaky. I don’t drink champagne (don’t tell that to the people who keep bring me the stuff), but I’m sure others here will partake.

Cool. Okay, champagne, and some other good food. Thank you, Ginger. I’ll email you for the directions. I haven’t been to a Dope Christmas Party since 2001, so I am way excited!
I’ll be there, the Kangaroo_in_Black will be out of town.
BlueKangaroo, I know it’s just because he’s afraid of people. It’s okay.
(Heeeehehehe)
I just saw this.
It’s not people he’s afraid of, just danceswithcats.
Having consulted with my hubby, we are graciously accepting this invitation, and will have EtherealFreakOfPinkness and mudgirl with us.
If there’s anything particular you find yourself in need of (y’know, within reason; not like a new car or somethin’), let me know. Otherwise, I’ll just see what I can scrounge up. I doubt I’ll bring any beer, but I might split half of a bottle with someone else.
Oh foo. I’m not afraid of your awesome Kangaroo hugs, though.
Whoo!
We’re all a little afraid of danceswithcats. He wields the opener.
Ah, don’t be afraid. I’m always cheerful and agreeable about helping a lady get her top off
of her beer. What were you thinking?
No, no, no. You live in Bawlmer, hon. You have to say, “Them directions ain’t no good no more.”
The 9th is the day of my Fire 1 practical final. I will be exhausted and ready for several beers, and my fellow classmates have been discussing where to go and celebrate that night, once we all make it through. Most likely the Firehouse Tavern right over on Joppa Road - close enough that I will stop in (no directions needed for me) at some point. Probably early, and then off to get smashed with my fellow newbie firefighters.
And it’s not crab season, you morons.
It’s oyster season!
ERSTERS. It’s erster season.
Bring the firefighters. We will drink to their success! And Paul will drive them all home.
Congratulations BiblioCat on finishing FF1! Woo!! Outstanding achievement! :double thumbsup maltese cross smiley:
I haven’t finished yet - don’t jinx me. I still have the written final to pass, and apparently the practical final is pretty hard. Everyone says to know my knots (which I do), and ladders and hydrant hookups. We don’t have hydrants out where my station is, so the Humat is basically just ballast on the back of the engine.
Damn, that was my next question…were crabs going to be in season in December? But I love oysters too!
I’m sorry, I don’t know. I’m from ALBERTA. The only crabs we get there I’ve never had the displeasure of having.
[FF1&2 Evaluator hat on] The majority of skill station f-ups are for safety violations (no eye protection-no gloves-stuff like that). You’ve got your knots down, hydrant hookup is pretty straightforward, so I’m betting you’ll do very well. Remember the safety stuff, and go for it! [/hat]
Gingy, I told the Cap’n that I want to attend. I’ve just got to work out the logistics. I have my last ceramics class that morning in Annapolis. I will get grubby - it can’t be helped. However, I am not driving all the way home then all the way back. What I’m thinking is we’ll head up to my mom’s for an impromptu visit/clean up, then head to your place.
Of course, he’s going to have to amuse himself while I’m in class. That’s another part of the logistics I need to work out.
Send him to the Delly.
If you have a cooler, danceswithcats, you should bring it. A small-ish one is fine, but if you have one, let me know what size you’re bringing. We’ll figure out ice in Maryland.
