Not going to be able to make it 
The whole holiday season is a mess for us.
We’re still planning on coming, though the appointment that was supposed to end at 5 PM is now beginning at 5 PM - so it’ll be more like 7-7:15 before we get there.
… Would it make more sense to start the entire thing at 7 rather than 6?
Waxwinged, you can’t change the time this late. There are probably already people who’ve left for the Dopefest. If they get there at 6:00 PM and find nobody there, they’re going to be really angry. I really should have already started for it, but I stopped to check the SDMB first to get the address right. Please, please get there at 6:00 PM. We can wait for Momma Zappa.
Incidentally, I’m 4’11". I have reddish-blond hair and wear glasses. If you see a guy by that description wandering around, that’s me.

It was really nice meeting all of you guys and hanging out! The photographic record of the blessed event is here.
And I was the last one to get there. Given that I had the longest to drive, that wasn’t surprising. We filled up one table, and we have a nice time.

So sorry I missed it - as I PM’ed Waxwinged, I had a SCA event all day Saturday and was way too pooped to make it.
Sounds like fun was had by all! I’m looking forward to the next one.

I’m finally back from my vacation and on the net for the first time… great meeting you all! And thanks for doing it when I was in town so I could be included.
