It was pretty darn yummy! I tried it with water, but next time I’ll use milk. Thanks again, sweetie!
Candies gone? Don’t say mean things like that!
To Rodd Hill:
I had this message typed up and was ready to send you an email only to find out that you have your account set up not to receive emails. So I am putting my thank you here.
Hi Rodd,
Thank you for the Mounties Mug! I’d have to say that I’m glad you went with cool over cheesy.
Interesting post card (Gin Lane). This mug exchange has given me more than a delightful mug for my current collection of 1 chipped straight dope mug and 2 mugs advertising Hechinger hardware. I’ve done a little research and now have a little more knowledge of the RCMP, William Hogarth, and Rodd Hill. Hey, did you know that Rodd Hill is an artillery fort built in the late 1890’s to protect Victoria and the Esquimalt Naval base.
Thank you for the chocolates also. They are currently in the refrigerator with the Cranberry Cream half gone. It is very good. Looking forward to the other.
A happy Holiday to you also.
R-n-R
I’m glad you like it I thought it was a pretty cool mug, too.
I just got my mug from calm kiwi! Heh. It’s pretty dang cool. I’ll add it to my collection. I also got some very good chocolate and a key chain, which, besides coffee mugs, is the only other thing that I collect.
My mug will be sent out tomorrow or Wednesday. I’m still collecting stuff to put inside of it.
Sounds like your mugger needs to send you more candies.
I’m getting a little worried about the mug I sent. I even got Delivery Confirmation, to prevent my worrying, but the number doesn’t register.
I’m also starting to worry a bit more. I may e-mail my muggee tomorrow to check. It has been 2 weeks. I’ll have to check up on it.
If someone is worried about whether I got my mug, I haven’t. No pressure, though. sob
I just sent mine Saturday, overseas. Post Office said it would take 7-10 days.
So why do I keep checking this thread to see if my muggee got mugged??? Two days later with a Sunday in between.
God, I scare myself sometimes.
(Oh, and no mug yet for me, but I’m pretty sure laina said that if you were sending out of country, then you were receiving from out of country so I’m figuring it will take awhile.)
Cool! I’m so glad you got it. I did warn you it was chessily patriotic.
I thought the key ring was groovy so I’m glad you liked it.
My crystal ball says you’ll be mugged tomorrow. However, the magical orb is worried that your mugging wont be as cool as everyone elses.
According to my calculations, domestically we have 17 mugs received, 9 mugs sent but not yet received, and 9 mugs with unknown status.
Internationally, we have 4 mugs received, 5 mugs sent but not received, and 10 mugs with unknown status.
This coming Sunday I’ll start contacting people who appear to have not put their mugs in the mail.
Since laina_f (lyin’ elf) is being so kind as to track it, I’m just posting here to say I’ve been mugged and will thank my muggee via e-mail, as well.
Thanks, Misstake!
I have news! Both good and bad. My mug arrived on Friday, unfortunately it arrived in several pieces. It looked like it was a nice one too. Well it’s the thought that counts anyway. Thank you to my mugger.
And to my muggee, I took your mug to the post office yesterday after work! Sorry I’m so darn slow.
I’ll adopt an orphaned muggee if needed…
Good idea - me too.
Whew! Glad it all arrived intact, Rock n Roach; I was worried about the mug getting broken.
My father was in the RCMP for 30 years, so I feel a close connection with the Force.
Hogarth did a companion piece to the Gin Lane, showing how fat ‘n’ happy the people were on good English beer, as opposed to that nasty foreign gin (in his defence, it was nearly 200 years before the invention of the martini!)

Oh, man, I’m sorry! I thought about not doing porcelain, now I wish I hadn’t. If it’s any comfort, mine’s broken too…but my muggee was kind enough to include two. I should have done the same.
Sorry again…
VenusProbe, You have been assigned a replacement mugger.
tanookie and TellMeI’mNotCrazy: Thanks for the offers. You will probably be needed. There’s always a couple of people that sign up for these things and then disappear.
