For the record mine was sent out last Wednesday. It’s going to California and is anticipated to be received by Friday at the latest. Hang in there, Muggee!

Just checking in during the middle of my vacation. Tough life and all being on vacation. Boy, I wish I was at work. sigh Oh, well. But wanted to reiterate the message N. Sane so graciously sent for me. simply_cats thank you so much for the mug and the candy and the cocoa!! I feel spoiled. It’s a pretty neat mug too.
My muggee hasn’t posted yet, but I did mail to him/her about a week ago-priority mail. Hopefully s/he’ll get it soon!

Ok - my mug is packaged and going out today! Sorry for the delay (it’s been a midterm exam sort of month).
Anyhow - I have not yet received my mug either, so I don’t feel toooo guilty.
FWIW, my mug is going international and I sent a bunch of makeup about 10 days ago and I haven’t heard anything, so stuff might be getting slowed at customs…
I have not yet been mugged, nor has my mugge posted.

VunderBob, I have good information that your mug was mailed today.
It appears that U.S. / Canada mail takes a very long time. There has been a successful Denmark / U.S. exchange, a successfull NZ / U.S. exchange, and a successful NZ / Canada exchange, but AFAIK no successful Canada / U.S. exchanges so far.
VunderWife, who has lots of international packages, says Canada/US can take as long as 6 weeks. She does not know how long US/Canada takes.
I should have put “U.S. <–> Canada”. It doesn’t seem to be flowing either way very quickly.
Actually, one mug at least has made it from an island off the west coast of Canada all the way to PA. I think it was 9 days in transit, which is about average, based on my eBay selling experience.
when i saw the mug had not landed, i checked the post site. turns out instead of the 4 to 6 days i thought i had picked, it is really 4 to 6 WEEKS! good heavens! i’ll send out a consolation mug tomorrow. to arrive a bit sooner… like weeks sooner.
the orig package may get there in time for r.o. christmas…

Yep, that mug was a gift from me to my late, great dad. He loved Larson, too. I did some research on the boards and saw that you have much the same tastes in things as me. I was hoping you’d like Far Side… Oh, I hope the fact that it was my dad’s mug doesn’t freak you out. For what it’s worth, he never drank coffee at home.
Hey, I’m honored that you would think to share such a personal thing with me…but then, I’m difficult to freak out. I am drinking coffee from it as we speak, and I had the sauce again with tater tots last night, just to confirm that it is, indeed, delicious. I’m a big Gates fan too, but this is going to stay on my list of “must have in the house” sauces.

Actually our mail person is not the most reliable. I had mail in the box to go out yesterday and it was still there this morning. Either he/she never delivered mail yesterday or they didn’t see the bright RED flag standing in the air and waving. I would not be surprised if I get no mail until Monday at this point.
Post 9/11, you know have to take boxes in person to the post office to be sent, unless you use Stamps.Com for labeling and postage (that leaves sufficient identification of the sender that the PO doesn’t care).
