Remember, opening moves are due at 5am Thursday, which means tomorrow night, for all practical purposes. So if you think you know what you’re doing, send 'em in; you can always change them up to the deadline.

Just an FYI, I know I have some mail but haven’t read it at all. Just finished work and life stuff and (my priorities are whack, I know…) hadn’t seen anything from anyone before 5 pm. Now I know this is dumb, but whenever we get into these 5 am situations it throws me off. So I was thinking up until recently that these would be late Thurday, going into Friday moves. Net, I’m a ditz, I’m not going to even look at e-mail until early tomorrow AM, but I’m not (yet) conspiring against anyone. Although I have my eye on a nice little island in the Philippines…

As Shibb has observed, the Spring 1901 moves are up!
Geez, nobody trusts anybody anymore! Russia doesn’t trust Turkey, and Turkey doesn’t trust Russia. France and Germany, ditto. Italy’s paranoid of all its neighbors - so much so that it tried to catapult its fleet into the Aegean to pre-emptively block any Turkish fleet moves in its direction. (The catapult broke, and the fleet’s still in port. ;)) And England trusted France, but you can see how that went, so maybe the others weren’t so dumb after all.
No retreats or nothin’, so start Dipping for real, now that you have a clue about who you can trust. Fall 1901 deadline is next Wednesday, September 11, at 5AM EDT.
BTW, I’ve posted a complete schedule through 1904 on the index page; if any of those dates are a problem for anyone, let me know.

Well, life is getting interesting after the weekend. We’ve got a deadline in about 35 hours, and the move orders are starting to trickle in. Your Dip fortune cookie predicts a lively Fall 1901!
