Alright this is an idea which just popped into my head, what if SDMB had a movie Award show? I mean think about it. 99% of CS dopers, get their tips from other dopers here in CS. Ergo, heretofore, furtherintelligentdribble, would suggest we would be most apt to give out our own movie awards.
Now, if we did have a movie award show, what categories should we award? We’re NOT giving awards to specific movies or actors or actresses or costumes or boobies (well, maybe boobies), but we’re looking for the category of award.
Think Oscars + Razzies with a dash of MTV…
And this is phase 1, which is to pick categories. After we have whittled it to a manageable list of fun/serious awards, we’ll then begin taking nominations, after which we will open voting and perhaps even have an award show! Who knows, all I know is that with dopers we’ll have fun!
Alright so first we’ll build a ginormous list of categories and then I’ll put up a voting tool on one of my domains to allow people to vote. I’ll set a soft deadline of a Sunday night at midnight (EST) and we’ll see how the list stands there, if it looks like more ideas are still pouring in I’ll push it until next Thursday night at Midnight.

Worst Actor in a leading role.
