I don’t know if his folks have arrived yet, but tell them to be extra careful driving down to Colorado. Their anxiety might not help driving concentration.
I don’t know his name, but I expect if I say “Tinkertoy’s nephew” in a prayer, God will know whom I mean.
Thanks for your good thoughts and prayers. It means so much. We still don’t know anymore than before. They are draining his lungs and have said that it may be several weeks before they know how much damage has been done.
If your nephew was perfectly healthy and a nonsmoker before this happened, his chances for a recovery in the lung department, I would think, would be quite good.
It just would take awhile for the lungs to heal. There might be some scarring, but it is all contingent just exactly what the problem is and if he smokes.
Thank you for the updates. Waiting is the hardest part. You have a bunch of faceless friends here keeping your nephew in their thoughts and prayers.

I have to say I jumped up and took notice real quick because my nephew, also a truck driver, was going to be in that area about the time I originally read this post.
Truckers (I am also a truck driver’s spouse) have a tough life out there. We all worry about the possibility of them getting into some horrible accident, but are just blind-sided when something like this happens.
