Aged 22. Married with two kids. He was riding in a car with his wife, his brother and his brother’s girlfriend, and opened the car door and jumped into oncoming interstate traffic. I’m so sorry, not only for him, but for the drivers that hit him unavoidably. That’s a terrible burden to lay on them. And for his wife and brother. Right before he jumped from the vehicle, he took of a ring that had been passed from my father to his dad (who died unexpectedly 2 years ago) to him, handed to his brother and said, “Take care of this” and threw himself from the car. I feel poleaxed.
Who would not… but my goodness how it must have been for those who were there… nothing seems apt to say but how terribly sorry I am that you all are going through this.
That is some shit. He did wrong by his wife, his brother, his kids, that poor random other driver, not to mention everyone else who witnessed the aftermath.
A reminder to those have gloomy thoughts, especially those who express them on these forums, there are lots of people out there willing to listen to you. This just one: https://suicidepreventionlifeline.org/ 1-800-273-8255
I’m so sorry for your tragedy. I can’t understand suicides that seem to be planned to cause the most collateral damage possible. It’s beyond my imagination what it must have been like for all those there that were permanently impacted ny this trauma…
