I sent mine a few hours ago. You should know that it is, in fact, a most cherished garment. I’ve had some great times in it.

I just got a wonderful surprise in the post today, Thanks! Wow, three shirts. And thank you for the little explanation that you sent with them. I actually wore one today. I hope someone is not missing out on getting a shirt cuz I was never assigned anyone. I e-mailed you but never heard anything and then poof! 3 shirts appear. If you did send me someones name and address I’m sorry but I never got it. Please let me know if anyone is still waiting and doesn’t have a partner and I will get them something out pronto.

ALSO I got tdn’s shirt in the mail today. I’m kind of sad because I wanted to be the first to get to brag about it here, but oh well, that’s what working retail gets for you. Anyway the shirt is either from or pretending to be from an exotic locale which I will probably never visit. When I wear it I’ll act snooty and pretend I summer at Martha’s Vineyard.

I love that shirt. I’m going to have to find another one like it when I go back there in August. That’s a bit of a challenge – Mostly what I find is “Someone who loves me very much went somewhere and got me this great t-shirt.” Oh, puke.

The American Crossword Puzzle Tournament shirt is great, I’d love to hear the story behind it sometime!
Back when I was in the puzzle biz, I went to the annual crossword tournament most years (though not, alas, the year they filmed Spellbound), since the company I worked for was one of the official sponsors. I would serve as a judge, and the judges always got free T-shirts in addition to, yanno, glory and shit. (And the opportunity to grade hundreds of puzzles, many of them in not entirely legible handwriting.) Anyway, I have a slew of these T-shirts, and had never gotten around to wearing this particular one, which is why I could pass it along in mint condition. Wear it in good health!
