Doperettes not in U.S.: Do hott American acccents turn you on?

I didn’t think so.

Name what country you’re from and what accents you actually find sexy. Americans can play too. Go ahead with the “There was this one guy/girl who was from “anycountry” and the sound of his voice was so…” type anecdotes.

As far as American accents go, I like a nice Georgia drawl.

Foreign accents? Scotland, Ireland and Australia.

Don’t worry, it’s not like the world is banging down the Canadian woman’s door just to hear her say aboot. (Except Kevin Smith but that’s just scary.)

I like to think women everywhere are naturally drawn to my nasally Michigan speech patterns.

“Oh we had a fee-an-tee-astic See-aturday at the hahhh(n)ky game. We ate hahhh(n)t dogs, and ee-afterwerds we went to a bahhr and listened to a rahhh(n)ck bee-and.”

My ee-accent is so thick, that when I moved to Chicahhhgo, all my co-workers there developed an impersonation of me in no time. Even a Puerto Rican girl in the office, who was only in her second year of speaking English, did an impression of me. She told me my accent was sexy, though, from which I have concluded that women everywhere find my nasal twang irresistable.

But you know you’re nasal when you’ve got native Chicagoans mocking you.
Hee-appy

I don’t know. I had some pretty good times with a Canadian gal once. Still have back problems from it.

I’m a Canadian gal, I love, just love, a Texas accent. And I am lucky because I do tech support, and get a few calls every night from men from Houston & Austin.

I’m thinking of two Americans in particular whose accents make me hot. I wouldn’t be able to pin down exactly what, nor are their accents particularly thick, but still.

In Quebec I remember all the Montrealais raving about American and English accents. The Frenchies I hung with told me my accent was cute, but somehow I doubt they were able to recognize any difference between my Southern drawl and your typical American newscaster speech. They seemed to find any native English-speaking person’s accent sexy when that person spoke (however badly) in French.

Or maybe that’s just something they said to butter me up. :dubious:

How ya’ doing there sweetie!!

Spanish…of the Antonio Banderas style accent. Yummy.

Only American accent I ever found sexy was a Native American/Mexican guy I met in Greece. But that was mostly because he was attached to the voice, and he was stunning.

I love Scottish accents. Yummy.

Texas drawls…they are soooo slooowwww, mmmm.

Also, Spanish/Mexican…they have such dark eyes!

And the Pennsylvania accent of my hubby’s best friend - just because he’s cool, a bit of a redneck and we don’t agree on much, but he thinks I’m cool too.

Men with English & Irish accents from just about any social class (as long as I can understand what you’re saying, that is!). Yum!

You could be drop-dead-ugly and I’d still think you were wicked sexy!

I haven’t had a lot of exposure to Scottish accents, so I’m not sure how they’d affect me.

I kinda dig a Bostonian accent, provided it’s not attached to that dude from the Simpsons.

Ditto for Texas provided it’s not attached to George Bush.

Souther accents on some fellas are pretty hot, but then on some folks they’re sort of annoying - I don’t know if it’s a regionalism that I’m detecting and not knowing, or if it’s just annoying people that happen to have that sort of accent (possible).

A Manchester accent is pretty nifty, as is a South African accent.

I’ve always been partial to women with Irish accents, but I’ve found a new one. I met someone for drinks last Saturday…she’s Lithuanian.

YOWZA!!

Got that slightly deep (for a woman), smoky tone…drops words like “the” and doesn’t use contractions…like “I never see nozzing like zat, yes?”

Think “Russian Lite”. Whoah.

Why, howdy, y’all.

[authentic English accent ON]

Good afternoon, Miss Motorgirl.
Or as one of your popular comedy stars would say: ‘May I enquire how you are doing?’
I took the liberty of accessing your profile and I notice that we share an interest in computers and books.
Would you like a cup of tea?

[authentic English accent still ON, naturally]

American woman here.

Glottal stops drive me mad with desire.

Is it possible to giggle girlishly and swoon at the same time? 'Cause I think I just did.

The accent the actress who played Samantha in Bewitched had. A sort of light, southern US accent. Does it for me
