Sexiest Accent?

I realize it has a lot to do with the speaker.

That being said, I think it’s a Russian accent. What do you think?

I remember an interview of Michael Gorbachev (sp?) by Clive Anderson. I was struck by how cool his voice/accent was.

Southern irish is nice to hear. And old scouse (young scouse is horrid, and young manchester accents are the worst in the world)

Czech, French, and Japanese all go a long way with me.

Frankly, any foreign accent drives me wild. But for girls, the following I find particularly erotic (in order):

  1. Portuguese
  2. French
  3. Italian
  4. Czech
  5. South African
  6. Glasweigian Scottish (I know, it’s weird, but for some reason, it just does it for me.)

You’ll like Gail Porter then.

And I forgot to mention - Eastern European particularly that of Natalia Vodianova in the UK loreal ads (they might be shown in other countries too)

I’m female, and I don’t see how any language can even come close to the sexiness of French.
Oooh la la!

German.

Which has always struck me as kind of perverse.

And, I am english, but for some reason I love Parminda Nagra’s accent in ER.

A trace Spanish accent (like, say, Andy Garcia’s)…I melt.
Southern United States
English
Irish

I love an Irish accent, especially a Northern one and especially a Belfast one. James Nesbitt’s Coleraine accent is gorgeous as well.
God help me, but I go weak for a real toff, RP accent. Yes, I know. Stop laughing. There’s just something about it that makes me want to be disciplined or something.

In Spanish the Madrid accent. (Wonderful)
In Portuguese, Rio accent. (No contest)
In English, American Southern.

Listening to Shelby Foote’s voice is like having ear sex. For those who aren’t familiar with him, he’s a Civil War historian/Southern gentleman who became famous after being featured in a public television documentary about the war. Got marriage proposals in the mail, even.

I like accents in general but the only one that I’d melt for would be Glaswegian Scottish. I’m surprised pulykamell beat me to it.

Derry accents, in general, are lovely.

But not quite as lovely as Donegal accents.

The Mayo Clinic is located in the state of Minnesota.

And this is the only time that state will be mentioned in this thread.

It depends largely upon what she is saying.

(And whether she’s saying it to me!)

I can’t believe no-one’s mentioned the Canadian accent! I had a Canadian teacher in high school and hearing her talk left me weak at the knees. No wonder I did so well in Science class!

Max.

This englishman isn’t sure what the difference beteen a [east or west coast, not southern] American and Canadian accent is. Sorry.

Schadenfreude :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m partial to English accents.
