Yeah, BUT, what if the situation had really been reversed? Suppose all your friends really did like it, or were at least indifferent? Your “honest” friend would’ve seemed really rude, wouldn’t he?
Besides, did you restyle your hair so your friends would like it, or so YOU would like it? If it’s the latter, than it wouldn’t matter what any of them said, would it?
I took the high cost of moving out as just one more reason that kiz was reluctant to do so, not the reason. It seemed to me that she just didn’t want to confront her mother, which is a fear I think a lot of people can relate to. Telling herself that it was too expensive to move out was just a little excuse to avoid that confrontation, not a carefully thought out reason for doing anything.
Actually, my ‘honest’ friend does get the rude label on a fairly regular basis 
I really made the change just because I wanted to try something different. If it looks lousy (and it did) I’m not doing myself any favors.

Honestly, I never thought I’d inspire another thread. I thanked everyone who genuinely gave me good advice while ignoring the other…um, “advice”…the next thing I know, Lizard started this thread!
