I feel like I’m in some kinda elite doper inner circle. So many want to meet FairyChatMom and I met her! Not only did I meet her, I took her to dinner (she’s a cheap date btw), got a driving tour of Clay County, Florida, sat on her loveseat, got hugged by her (twice, even!), and petted her dog on the butt (the dog has a fetish for getting her butt petted, apparently).
FCM is the only doper I have met. I get to meet some more at North Florida Dope in a couple weeks.

Don’t believe it. I met Eve last month and the only disappointment was she left us too soon. She’s as delightful in person as she is online.

Rereading this thread, I’d also like to meet Coldie, TubaDiva, Davebear, er, in fact, all the Dopers, there’s too many for me to just chose a few.
I think I’d like to meet Coldie, Tir, Siege, Poly, Eve, belladonna and bodypoet. And Matt (so I could hug him in person).
The dopers I’ve met are lovely (hi Kal, Washte and the Dub-dopers).
I’m gonna add Brutus to my list. I don’t always agree with the guy, but he’s so freakin’ funny.

There are a zillion dopers I’d like to meet, and I think we’d have a really great time getting to know each other better. (Yes, even Ogre.)
However, for very different reasons, if I could pick just one doper to spend a little time with it would be Shrew. Never have I encountered an online personality whose every post made me feel like someone was scratching their fingernails across a chalkboard. I can’t believe how much I disagree with nearly every post of hers that I’ve read. In fact, recently Shrew posted a one-word response in some thread: “Damn.” I couldn’t believe it was Shrew’s post, because I actually agreed with the sentiment!
We’ve never argued one on one here, but we have posted in several of the same threads over time. I am pretty sure that my usually jocular, sometimes inane comments may irritate Shrew as much as her comments irritate me.
If there was a doper picnic somewhere, I’d like to pull a couple of lawn chairs up under a big oak tree, Shrew and I each get a glass of tea, sit down for awhile, and see if the personality clash was all that bad IRL. Realizing, of course, that if the two of us went to sit under an oak tree only one might live to tell about it. We’d probably fight to the death over who got which lawn chair. :eek:

I’m rather certain I’m not man enough to perform The Taming of that Shrew!
BTW: I don’t mean to imply that I dislike her. Obviously, she is entitled to her opinions. I’ve just never seen anyone whose opinions I disagreed with to such an extent.

The only in person experience I have had with anyone on the boards is with *Freyr whom I have known since about 1992 from my time in Milwaukee.
