To avoid TOO many of my multiple consecutive posts…
Thanks for the restraint, JimSox5… much appreciated.
Eep… just found this now thanks to a long-overdue vanity search.
You mean S? Things are going along just fine, thanks for asking. He’s moving today to a new apartment in another area of the city, and will have cable Internet hooked up there soonish, so we should have more time together. (we’ll see, though… we’re both busy with various things)
By the way, I should talk to you more often on AIM… I’ve really been poor at that over the last few months. Sorry! :o
It’s actually AWANA.
Sometimes I can be quieter in person, yes… it depends on how much I feel like talking about.
Yup, definite points for you there… my friends all ask how I remember everyone’s birthdays. It’s my memory, as well as various aids.
That’s very true… I certainly remember that about us!
You’d be right… cityboy916 offered to do them a while back when I thought I might be leaving the board when it went to “subscription” mode. But a certain someone was very kind to pay my $5 for me. So now we split the duties.
You’re just not going to the right places.
I work a lot of hours lately and do my shopping at weird times - that’s probably why we never see each other around town.
Does collecting Doper pictures count as a “DopeFile?” So far, I have the pictures of 194 Dopers; all photos were posted in SDMB threads, or are in a public profile/on a public web site. I have a desktop shortcut to the folder for easy reference.
I’m not really as scary as this sounds: I just like being able to put faces with usernames. I’m not necessarily a proponent of people sharing personal info (I don’t really care if people do), but if someone posts a photo I’ll hang onto it for future reference.
That’s not scary, right?
I’ve had two people on two seperate other boards recognize me/be able to find me based off of things that I’ve posted online. I know that anyone who lives nearby me would be able to find me in a split second. Kinda scary. o.O;;;
Oh well everything I was going to post about other people has already been said! So let me just say I am terribly impressed.
…which one was that? As a rule, I generally lean more towards “funny” than “tragic.”
For some reason, the people who bought my book tend to stick in my mind, and facts about them tend to accumulate as I encounter them on the board, particularly EddyTeddyFreddy, who also very kindly handled my board fee because I didn’t wanna mess with PayPal.
Weirdly enough, their real names are not among those facts; I still invariably think of these folks by their board names…
