I’ve only met one doper that I know of. That’s Violet, whom I met in college xx years ago. I should add here that she’s waaay younger than I am. I started college late. We talk via email from time to time, but haven’t had the opportunity to meet since college.
Dopers I haven’t met but would like to are quite a few. A short list would include Scylla, Fenris and Steve Wright, who have made me laugh and Polycarp, Zev Steinhardt, and Tomndebb, who have made me think (not that those two sets’qualifications wouldn’t be reversible).
Mmm-hmm. Meeting me in person helps others to stop confusing me with matt_mcl, which still seems to happen, the latest being this week in yet another gay-themed Pit thread. :rolleyes:
I’m just going to be more selective vis-à-vis whom I allow to meet me, that’s all. 
So do I… I go to school right off exit 29 and live a little farther up the road from that.
There are a few others of us who live in this little section of PA. Airman Doors, USAF, danceswithcats, Zappo, and others. Maybe we should get together for lunch sometime.

Do people really get the two of you confused?? I only ask because I never do. You see, I have mental images of what most of you look like (yeah, I know they’re almost guaranteed to be wrong, but it helps to keep me from getting confused), and you and matt_mcl don’t look anything alike!
Well, no one confuses him for me (or is it me for him?), but for example, someone said that matt was getting married, when in actual fact, it’s me who’s engaged and planning My Big Fab Gay Wedding®. (matt was gracious and corrected the mistaken poster.) This happens every so often.
And no, we don’t look anything alike.
It’s no doubt because we’re the two gay male Montrealers who post here, and quite possibly because the first parts of our usernames each end in “tt”.
One of you looks like Seth Green, and the other does not. Simple.
