I can pretty much guarantee he was - he says he can’t perform sober. I’ve seen him twice - last year and this - and the 2nd time, he was a little TOO drunk. Still funny, but not as hilarious as he’d been the year before.
His comedy is offensive, sure - it smarts when he nails whatever sacred cow you’ve got - but funny and just FEARLESS. I love the guy, but part of why I love his comedy is that it’s NOT for everyone. It’s tasteless and brutal. Then again, he’s brutal towards everyone. He did a long bit making fun of Jews the last time I saw him, because he’d realized that in his whole career he’d never done that. Most of his act is about stuff that some people don’t think should be discussed in polite company - religion, politics, deviant sex, alcohol & drug abuse (and I do mean abuse).
I didn’t think the Palin thing was that great because I think he can actually do better. However, what I think would be “better” wouldn’t appeal to everyone.
That is low. She’s well within her rights to kick him like a rabid moose.
I even thought the Onion crossed a line when they referred to her “retard baby” (in the first person) and that she should have asked for an apology. Criticize her policies, ignorance (as you see it) and other bad qualities related to the presidency all you like- even Bristol’s pregnancy as relates to her abstinence only beliefs has some merit- but Trig is off-limits to the decent.
Yeah I know. I’m a big Stanhope fan, so I was happy to see his name in a thread topic. Then I saw the person that badmouthed him had “BANNED” under their name. That’s all. Nothing more to it.
