So you can only ask questions that meet their approval ? What idiots. www.howstuffworks.com has shitloads on how to pick locks - what’s wrong with discussing this here ???
The mods don’t give a rat’s ass what other sites have to say. They only care about the information posted here. There’s plenty of sites on obtaining child porn, making bombs, or counterfeiting money, but you don’t see those sorts of things here either. The fact is, regardless of why you needed to pick the lock, such information could be used by others to commit crimes. Just because you ask a question doesn’t mean no one else will read the answers and make use of the information. I suggest you chill out.
How do you know Dr. Matrix sucks ass? Has **Cajun Man ** been talkng?
But, um, the discussion of the commission of potentially illegal acts–like picking locks–is frowned on here. The mods will be along directly to discuss it in greater detail.
Look, you thick-headed moron: even if it is your bike, no one is going to post publicly about how to pick a lock here because someone else could use the information illegally. Get that through your thick skull.
The board has a standing policy of disallowing instructions on how to perform illegal activities. If you don’t like it–well, don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.
If it’s posted on www.howstuffworks.com, then why do you need to ask it here? Do a quick search on “lockpicking”, and you find a large collection of threads that have all been locked, and all for the same reason.
that may have been your intent for using the information. Surely you can see that others may have other uses for the same info? and, frankly, if you’re aware of so many other resources for that same info, why on earth are you bent out of shape 'cause you can’t get it here?
Besides, this is not helping my retirement plan (go Manny!)
Ah, but you weren’t discussing getting your bike; your question was on picking a lock. Lock picking is a potentially illegal act and can thus lead to liability issues for the Chicago Reader, which owns this site.
If you don’t like it, there are any number of sites that might be more to your taste.
All I wanted to know was where to hit the thing with my hammer. It doesn’t matter. I’ll pick it. It just takes about a billion times longer, and with an old lock, I thought someone helpful might just let me know.
And no matter how noble the intent of the Mod, you’ve got to admit that most bike thieves probably have this info already. You know gleaned from “stealmybike.com”…
Later dudes.
Gotta go - I’ll be back in 12 hours to get me some satisfaction…
Ahem kind sir. Your post was written by someone so confused, it doesn’t know whether to scratch its watch or wind its ass. You should offer your posting style to hospital operating theatres as a highly-effective alternative to unconsciousness-inducing medications.
It’s just as well you can type, for if you had to speak your mind, you’d be speechless. You must have a very large brain to hold such a vast amount of sheer ignorance. Oh well, at least you only charge what your free advice is worth. To quote Thomas Brackett Reed: “They never open their mouths without subtracting from the sum of human knowledge.”
You are about as entertaining as a child’s inflatable punching toy. You bop it, it springs back, you bop it again and you forget it ever existed. It slowly deflates in an unused corner, then one day you throw it away. I bet you thought it was just coincidence that your parents had the same surnames before they married?
Now, if you care to apologize for wasting our shamefully wasted time, we may consider accepting it.
How big of a lock is it? Good lord, SMACK THAT MUTHA!
Besides, I speak only for myself when I say I don’t have to admit diddley. In fact, I polled all of the bike thieves I knew, and they didn’t have that info already.
