Feh! You can spare an huor or so for lunch!
I’ve studied the B5 track extensively. There’s time for an hour or two at least!

Yeah, but my roomies are Pern fans, and they have a pretty busy schedule too. (I do like the books, but this will be my first encounter with the fandom.) I will definitely be at most of the B5 stuff because that is my current obsession, but there are other things I might do too.
I haven’t been to a con since 1997. Oh boy oh boy oh boy.
WOO-HOO!
I would hate to think we were just going to pass each other by in the B5 rooms and not know each other!
We must think up some code or something…
Okay… just found out that I will most definitely be there. A couple of my friends will be there too. No actual factual dopers unfortunately. However, we’ll be staying at the Hyatt.
So, tell me how I can find you guys one night.
Woo-Hoo!
Well, Verrian, the Mysterious Mod and I will be staying at the Marriott Marquis.
Like I said, as long as it doesn’t interefer with my Claudia drooling pretty much anytime for me. Although I do have to get in on a few other things like the Battlestar Gallactica stuff, Xena (now if Lucy was showing up for this, I would be in serious trouble ;)) and as sson as they post the regular Writer’s Workshop info I’ll know more.
I think Verrain was looking at playing in a few of the games, but unless Erik Wujcik (the guy that wrote the Amber game) decides to run Amber, I’m free of that demon.
This is what I get for not reading Science Fiction.
Maybe I’ll protest by dressing up as my favorite Steinbeck character. So if you see some migrant worker getting his ass kicked by 40,000 Klingons and Wookies, you’ll know exactly what happened.
You read it here first.
Join us, mouthbreather! Joooiinn uuussss!
Yes, mouthbreather, come into the light…
You can even do it in your own clothes. You don’t have to dress up. I’m sure not.
Yes Arden, but we know your clothse are basicly a cut down Zena outfit anyways.

Shhh…!
That’s our secret, Britt.
I don’t need Xena coming after me and … oh, wait.
So this would be an Atlanta get-together again? Well heck, I just might make an effort to join the fun and frolic.
We wait for you in the light, Mullinator…
That’s the plan. We just have to get all the annoying details out of the way. Despite her contrariness, I plan to kidnap whiterabbit if I can find her among the gazillion attendees and make her come to the gathering.
Okay, okay, okay. Just don’t make me drive. I get lost every time I’m going anywhere in Atlanta except the airport(and every time I go THERE I’m convinced I’ve gone too far just before I get there).
I too will be at the Hyatt. Arriving Friday late morning. Skipping class to get there. Otherwise, I get to leave at 2:00 and hit downtown Atlanta at about 4:15 on a Friday. Uh uh. Besides, I couldn’t concentrate on geology that day anyway…
Who’s driving?
“Taxi!”
I’m scheduled to get there Thursday evening around 7:00 PM.
I went to Dragon*Con in Atlanta last year. At the same time, there was an international convention of the Salvation Army. Talk about surreal…My friend and I went o lunch, and you’d have fairies and aliens sitting at the same tables (the food court was croweded) with these folks in Salvation Army uniforms. It was…different.
StG
I already SAID I don’t want to provide taxi service – unless it were absolutely necessary – because Atlanta is confusing as hell. Also, I’m not sure how parking is going to work; I need to ask the hotel if I’d have to pay, how much I’d have to pay, or what. It may be cheaper to leave the car where I put it when I get there.
Right now, I figure I’ll be on the road by nine. I should be there by noon, easily. (Depends on how long it takes to get through downtown and how lost I get!)
No, no. I didn’t mean the whiterabbit taxi service! I mean Atlanta’s taxi service!
Down girl.
Ok. It just doesn’t get any better than this.
There are three presentations in the Electronics Forum during the Con that I can use for extra credit in Sociology.
So for everybody that thinks I’m a slacker or something for going, I say :p.
