I think I like Christina Cole for Angua: Christina Cole - IMDb
She is an excellent actress - I first noticed her in a Doctor Who episode ("The Shakespeare Code) and see her all the time now.
Stephen Fry as the Dean? And Hughe Laurie as the Bursar?

How about Billy Gardellas Colon?
He’s a bit young - isn’t Colon just about to retire? Maybe Oliver Platt for Colon.
Oh, or Timothy Spall for Colon.
I always picture Sam Rockwell when I read books that include Moist.
No - Fry as Archchancellor Ridcully and Laurie as Vetinari.
Not sure about Curry. They already cast him in the SkyOne Colour of Magic adaptation as one of the oldschool slimy assassination-style wizards. He’s definitely an adept actor and can play many roles, but I can’t get that greasy Grand Vizier-style smile out of my head.
Or Betty White. She can do an English accent.
For the Patrician, I gotta go with Boris Karloff, although I can see Sean Connery in the role. And for Death - Vincent Price, with possible voiceover by James Earl Jones.
I like the idea of Meryl Streep as Granny Weatherwax, although I think Emma Thompson might be better (think Nanny McPhee without the warts,etc.).
Rincewind would be a young Dick Van Dyke. And the Librarian would have to be Manis, who played Clyde in Every Which Way But Loose and The Monkey in Cannonball Run.
With respect, why the hell would Vincent Price need a voiceover for Death? He was good enough for Iron Maiden and Michael Jackson.
Kathy Bates for Nanny Ogg.
Kelsey Grammar as Death.
I’d go for Nigel Hawthorne. I always seem Vetinari as Sir Humphrey with direct power.
Good one.
That could be freakin’ hilarious, except that Lumley is a bit too elegant. I think Dawn Fraser would be perfect though.
So you see her as something of a champion swimmer…
Miranda Hart as Agnes Nitt.
How about a bit of French and Saunders for Nanny and Granny?
Well yeah, why not? :smack:
Back in time casting: The little old dude from the Benny Hill show as the Bursar.
I’ve always thought that Alan Rickman would be the perfect Vetinari.
The late, great Wilfrid Brambell as Foul Ole Ron.
Indeed, yes. Although Christina Cole has the right look too.
I don’t see anybody has mentioned David Thewlis for Rincewind?
I personally really like the idea of Christopher Lee for Death.
