I was just looking at the OotP page over on imbd.com and someone suggested Gabriel Byrne as Lord Voldemort. I think hed be perfect.
Also, the same message boards say that only European actors can be chosen for the parts, apparently this is what JK Rowling wants. There was no evidence sited to back this up, does anyone know if its true?
Also, according to the same messageboards*, Tom Felton (Draco) wants to go to University so he might not be signing on for OotP, and from mugglenet.com Alan Horn (Pres of WB) had to appeal to Emma Watson (Hermione) to get her to return for Goblet of Fire, it would be a pity to see her go, shes definately the better actor of the three.
Im going now, and Im not posting in a HP thread for at least 12 hours!
Kate as Tonks definitely works for me! Has anyone heard whether they’re going to keep the Barty Crouch plot in “Goblet of Fire”? Because if that gets axed or tinkered with, there would be one less Barty to cast. I had heard that John Malkovich would be playing Voldemort. Could just be a rumor though.
Wasn’t Jeremy Irons already in as Voldemort for #4? If not then he definately should.
Also, I always pictured Anthony Hopkins as Moody while I was reading the book. It’s a shame they couldn’t get him.
Even though I think she’s very, very beautiful (lovely features, lovely face)…Kate Winslet is way too old to play Fleur. I also think Fleur is depicted as being very tall and slim and I think Kate Winslet is only medium-sized and hourglass shaped.
Alyson Hannigan as Tooks? She knows the magic casting but hates to be made up extensively, though. Not good for a transformer.
As long as we’re in the Buffyverse, how about hubby Alexis Denisof as Barty Jr.? I forget how old Jr. is supposed to be, but that handsome classy unhinged type is his forte.
Going to the equally improbable theater world–Faith Prince or Donna Murphy as Rita Skeeter. Krisitin Chenoweth as Fleur. Taye Diggs as Kingsley. David Garrison as Barty Senior.
And back to the Brits, there must be a place for Rowan Atkinson somewhere. He’s terrific.
