*I don’t know how to link to YouTube anymore, is it still allowed? Anyway, it’s an interesting concept, so if you haven’t seen it, and you like weird dramedies, I suggest watching it.
Looks cool. Nick Cage isn’t normally a draw for me, but he looks well placed here. The movie has a wide release of Nov. 10th.
Anyone know anything more about it? Anyone see it, yet?
Nick Cage is like saffron, a spice that’s either a star or a catastrophe in the kitchen – and on the silver screen. “Dream Scenario” looks like the perfect playground for Cage’s wild quirkiness. And it looks like a fun flick. I anxiously await it streaming into my living room.
I had read that Adam Sandler was initially supposed to play the lead, but the director wanted Cage. I’m not going to lie, though Cage may have been the right choice ultimately, I don’t think it’s out of Sander’s range. I don’t think he’d be a poor choice for the role.
Saw it. It was pretty good. Took a weird direction in the last act, but I knew prior that it would, due to reviewers. It’s something I’d be willing to see again, if that’s any indication of how good it was. There are great ideas here. I don’t know of prior works that have explored these themes the way this movie does… some of which are “newer” concepts, like ‘cancel culture’, ‘going viral’. When I say “new”, I know that this stuff has existed for a while, but these days, fame can come and kick your ass so easily. Usually if a movie doesn’t ‘nail the landing’, I dismiss it, but this isn’t the case here.
