Synopsis: drunk 19 year old behaves like an ass, demands bacon jalapeño mac & cheese, assaults the manager of the cafeteria/restaurant and is eventually taken down hard and then arrested.
The co-worker of the manager who did the take down showed remarkable restraint; kudos to him.
BIG kudos to the manager for remaining professional despite the abuse he was taking.
And a final thanks to the cop for nothing gentle with this asshat.
Congratulations, Luke Gatti! You’re not just internet famous; you’re internet infamous!
I don’t get it. Some random college kid was being a disorderly asshole in the student union, so they arrested him. It doesn’t really seem like news to me. He wasn’t a star athlete or anything, was he?
Either you’ve had a stroke, or you’re trying to indicate you’re being held against your will. If you could clarify we can get appropriate help on its way.
Poor little sod got drunk and was not entirely polite — although he didn’t glass anyone and his antagonists were not that polite either. A lot of fuss about nothing.
A million people get drunk every day, if no-one videos it it’s ignored.
I drop my phone in the toilet or spill drinks when I’m very drunk. Maybe do a Hasselhoff-style burger demolition. I don’t call strangers fags or niggers.
The guy is clearly a bit of a dick. On the other hand, I can’t help but feel uncomfortable at the fact that he has been hung drawn and quartered by the internet for this crime. This guy can’t serve his time and then try to make something of himself, people are actually delighted at the fact that for the rest of his life his career prospects have been torpedoed because he got drunk and caused a scene in a restaurant.
Picture this. A guy gets arrested for drunk and disorderly, goes to court and is found guilty, and the judge sentences him to the following: 120 hours community service, £200 fine, banned from attending university, banned from ever applying to any high prospect job or company, legally bound to inform everybody he meets that this incident occurs.
If that sentence was handed down straight I think people might find it excessively harsh, but in effect thats what has happened to him. He is a dick, I don’t like him, but a little perspective wouldn’t go astray.
What a tool. Kudos for the manager’s restraint after being shoved several times.
Reminded me of a college job at a seafood restaurant where I had to break up a fight outside. There was a planter full of oyster shells and when one guy grabbed a shell and tried to gouge the other guy’s face, it was time for the chicken wing wrestling hold.
The audio on that video wasn’t the best, for obvious reasons. Luckily, the Internet is available to people who have absolutely nothing better to do with their time than to transcribe videos of drunken jackasses getting slammed for their drunken jackass-ery. Feel free to peruse this transcript, while ignoring the misspellings.
