Duct tape floats - spinning and weaving - turkey legs - a State Fair MMP

Nooo, swampy, WalMart attire consists of either too short skirts, skin tight ripped pants and Uggs, or bathing suits. Don’t you visit People of Walmart > The ORIGINAL People of Walmart Website!)

I’ve managed to clean the kitchen. I’m going to run the vacuum next, and then I’ll shower.

My daughter and her sweetie are supposed to come down and visit us today.

I have showered but not gotten dressed although I have washed a load of laundry.

Tummy is grumbling now so that should make me move and yet motivation is still lacking…Right I am up - watch me go run errands!

I had a sober breakfast, two sober meetings :frowning: and I did a sober tour of the Pen’s hockey arena. :dubious: there was a section sign that read “section k-y” : snerk : gives a new meaning to the term “go five hole”

Been doing laundry and staying out of the heat. We’re going to Red Lobster for dinner - Crab Fest time! I’m getting hungry!

Miscellaneous chores accomplished. Supper will be teriyaki poke chops, rice, Amish corn, cherry 'maters from my plants, and some pineapple that I grabbed at WalMart today. Sounds healthy, no?

Daughter is going to a party tonight. We ain’t doin’ nuttin!! Life is good.

Friends came over. We had drinks, then dindin. They’re gone now as it’s sorta kinda ick out and they decided it might be a good idea to go on home in case it does get all stormy. I hear thunderatin’ right now so who knows. It was a nice relaxin’ couple of hours just hangin’ out.

Now I’m like MOOOOOOM, just want to be in the relax and chill mode.

It’s hot out. There’s breeze blowing, but it’s a hot breeze. It’s sort of like being in the desert.

I ran down to the sporting goods store and picked up a couple things for my hike tomorrow. I was hoping to score a new pair of hiking shoes and even found a pair I really, really, really liked. Unfortunately, they didn’t have any in my size. I’ll just make do with my old boots for tomorrow. I did pick up some good bug repellent, a couple of tank tops, and some socks to wear with my hiking boots.

After that, I dashed to the grocery store and picked up a few items there. Now I’m home, but I’m sure we’ll start grilling soon. My daughter and her sweetie showed up with ribeye steaks to grill.

That’s about it in taterland.

Hamsters ate my post. **Kopek **, I was thinking about you today when I heard a polka band play ‘We’re not gonna take it.’

Went on a tour of one of the local Islamic centers (we got an intro to Islam before the tour). Fascinating. We were there when they issued the afternoon call to prayer, which brought a number of people from nearby over to the mosque to pray.

After the tour, several of us went out to lunch.

I’ve been hanging around, napping and knitting since I got back.

Am going to take a break to read for a while now. Book group is this week and I haven’t finished the book yet…

Off to read.

Hugs.

It’s 97F outside at 6pm. We just had southwestern chicken burgers and corn onna cob. Now we’re in TV mode.
It was a good day to go shopping, in air-conditioned stores.

mr ems had a good golf game and I accomplished my errands then being the good wife that I am I went out to the field with him while he checked on a couple things. we jsut got in from an early supper and I headed to make the bed up with clean sheets and then pack for my trip tomorrow.

Then jammies and TV methinks. Nighty night!

Good Lord! With the amount of food and booze available for the asking at a Pittsburgh Tailgate Fest we may have lost Doggio for good!

Added emphasis mine with fair warning to all to check your basement for evil pod creatures from outer space. I think the invasion has begun.

I just love the Hell out of stuff like that! That will be in a couple weeks at KielbasaFest - they have a polka band that does stuff like that lined up and I got plans of making their concert. They don’t just play modern stuff; they turn it into polka music. I have been told their version of Star Spangled Banner has been known to make Jimi Hendrix spin in his grave.
PS - I’ll be near Kings Dominion the end of this week in case any Virginians have an ax to grind.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. We might have had a storm last night. I unplugged 'puter before I went beddy bye cause it looked ominous out. I slept like whatever it is one sleep’s like when one zonks out immediately so if’n it did it didn’t wake me. I shall determine if’n there was a storm shortly when it’s daylight enough out to see stuff.

Other than that, it’s deheathenization today followed by a lunch of sammiches cause that’s what we decided. Smoked poke chops, green beans and wild rice for dindin along with anything else I might decide if I decide anything else is needed.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

Up early by choice, sorta. I’m making the buffalo chicken dip for a thing at work on Tues (with extras for us) so I had to get the chicken cooked. Since it cooled a bit and I had the windows open, I decided to get on it first thing. Unfortunately, it was warmer in the house and getting stuffy, so I had to close things up and turn on the air. With the oven on. :frowning: Oh well…

I woke up at 3:30 because, well, I’m old, and that’s what old people do - pee in the middle of the night. Anyway, as I groped my way in the dark back to my side of the bed, trying to avoid the zoo on the floor, I saw lights moving across the wall, signifying the neighbors driving up their driveway. Recall that I had the house open.

Shortly after that, I heard loud voices arguing. The words were indistinct, but the voices were obviously one male and one female, and she sounded like she was also wailing or boo-hooing or something. I lay there thinking “OK, if I hear shots or other sounds of violence, I’m dialing 9-1-1.” But they apparently took their argument inside, and it didn’t sound violent - just very angry. A few minutes later, I think I heard a car start up, but I may have dozed off and dreamed that. Anyway, I didn’t sleep too soundly after that.

It’s overcast, and it feels like it wants to rain. I need to do laundry today - no line drying for me, I guess. **FCD **and daughter are going to be putting formica on her lab tables so she can take them back to school next week. Yep, another exciting day at FairyChatEstates.

**kopek **- KD isn’t to horribly far from me (maybe 90 minutes or so) but it is a bit far for a quick meet-and-greet. Exactly where are you going to be and when and for how long?

I’m sure there was more I wanted to say, but it’s still early and I haven’t had any caffeine yet…

Am up and semi-awake. These made me laugh. A lot. (The 8 most insanely obvious signs in the world.)

Off in search of breakfast…

I am up, 'im indoors has gone back to Belgium, the house is very quiet. I was going to change the bedding but the cats are both asleep on the bed and being a big softie at heart, I am not going to disturb the little mites.

Not a particularly productive day really, sloth has been had instead. Well, that’s because we were up until 3am drinking vodka and playing dodgy bits of music, and talking about holidays 'cos we are wondering where to visit next. So far today I have cooked lunch, washed dishes, put some washing outside to dry, got a load of laundry in the washer and I am putting some colour on my hair. Oh, and I filed my nails too. Isn’t that enough for one day?

Chicken dip is made for us and my work lunch. Second load of laundry is washing. We’ve had some nice rain showers - hope they continue all day. **FCD **and daughter are doing stuff in the garage. I need a nap. Being overcast, it’s plenty dark - good for dozing. Decisions, decisions…

A few weeks ago one of the local grocery stores had pork shortribs on sale for .99 a pound. I bought about $40.00 worth and put 'em in the freezer. . We have a 6.5 pound package of same defrosting in the fridge, and we’re gonna toss 'em on the barby this afternoon. I oughta make som N.O.T. salad to go with. Hmmm.

Grillin & chillin.
Actually, it’s forcast to be 95F here today, so not so much chillin.

Bumba of course you should make some N.O.T. sallit to go with the ribs! There should be no debate at all there.

Speakin’ of grills, I now have a brand new grill. Old grill was about to give up the ghost and I was not goin’ to buy a new one cause, well, I am unemployed. Even though I’m not hurtin’ bad for money I just couldn’t see buyin’ a grill. So, OYKW bought it. What he had to say about it was he eats enough meals at da cave and is the recipient of grilled meats on a regular basis and would like for that to continue, thus, new grill! YAY! It only took us half an hour to put it together even.

So, shortly it shall have it’s official ummm… Christening? Inaugural usage? Smoked poke chops shall be the first meat to get grilled on new grill.

Hi!

Mr Rebo built a doggie fence to go across the front of the garage when the garage door is open. It’s made of PVC and black plastic netting. It looks pretty good! Now the dogs can’t run across the street if they get out into the garage. (Or into the arms of any stray neighbors, if you know what I mean.) We also put up surveillance cameras and signs.

We gave Dad a set of papers to give to the neighbors if they show up when we’re not home.

Dipsey should be safe now. ::crosses fingers::

It’s hotter’n Hades outside, but I’m gonna grill up some beef fajitas anyway. Fajitas, peppers and onions, refried beans and guacamole. Yum! And cold watermelon for dessert. Or the super-rich cookie bars I made yesterday.

See ya later!
