DVD burning software suggestions please.

I just added a DVD burner to my computer. I have tried many of the features but something I don’t care for is the software that was supplied with the burner. It came with a trial version of Nero 7. Along with this is a constant reminder that I can upgrade to Nero 9 for $60, a $30 savings over the regular suggested price. I already had Nero 5 on my system and found it worked great for burning CD’s, Nero 7 is absolutely glacial compared to 5 when performing the same tasks. Plus 7 added a bunch of other stuff I don’t want. To keep Nero 7 without upgrading will cost me $40.

What I am looking for is suggestions for software to used to burn DVD’s and CD’s. Cost is really no object, I am willing to pay for something that works. My burner has LightScribe capabilities so I would like software that supports this too. Any suggestions?

StarBurn No LightScribe capabilities that I know of. The other features make this well worth using.

You can also get a light scribe software “light” package for free direct from the lightscribe people. I prefer to use that over Nero 9’s light scribe burning software which is a convoluted user unfriendly mess.

I recently began using CDBurnerXP. It’s free, works fine, and isn’t bloatware like Nero and whatever the latest Roxio product is called.

Seconded. When using windows CDBurnerXP is awesome.
