E-Mail Sluts' Round Robin

Superdude started a fine, fine thread for e-mail sluts. Good work Superdude.

But it doesn’t address the heart of the matter. “Who likes to get e-mail?” Yeah, that’s all fine and good. “Who WANTS to get some?” Ah, that’s better.

Post here, and the person above you e-mails you with a thoughtful note. The last person on the thread when it dies has to e-mail me. The next person would post “Rue, e-mail me.” And I would. The third person would post “Person #2, e-mail me.” Then Person #2 would e-mail person #3. Etc.

“But what if I don’t have my e-mail available to the average Doper?” you ask? Well, post here if you really want to, then e-mail the person above you to give them your address, and then they e-mail you. Simple.

And the E-mail Sluts are happy.

Everyone on Superdude’s thread might be e-mailing each other willy-nilly, but this is more organized.

But willies are so much more fun when they’re nilly!

Heh heh heh…racinchikki said willies…heh heh heh.

Who’s Willie?
Or, whose willie?

Either Kinsey’s psychic, or there are alot fewer e-mail sluts than I thought. (I got her “this is a dead thread” e-mail while this thread was still only 1/2 way down the second page.)

So, I’m a-gonna BUMP it and see what’s what.
-Rue.

I knew you were going to say that.

First of all, thanks. Secondly, I thought it was more pell-mell than willy-nilly. But I see your point. Include me in.

Well lets see what happens,

bump

OOOOOO, I want email. Stupid in-box with no new messages…grr…

Okay, I’m definitely an email slut…53 unread messages in my box, and I want more, more!

Yeah! Email! Yeah! Woohooo!

(see new and improved hyperlinked sig, too!)

It occurs to me (after hitting the submit button, of course) that this thread is set up backwards. When you post, you ought to mail the person who posted right before you. That way, you don’t have to keep checking back to see if someone has replied.

Damn…two posts in a row, now I’m going to have to email myself.

Sengkelat, when this thread dies(probably soon with the holiday coming up), you can take your idea and start another. I won’t mind.

Or you could start a competing thread. Not a great idea. They’d both die at the same time and some itchy e-mail slut would have to start another thread.

And the checking back builds up a sense of community. (Sure, why not?)

When you check back, you can also re-post to get more e-mail. A potentially never ending cycle. Remember, just like voting in Chicago, post early and post often.
-Rue.

Eh, sure, why not. Somebody email me.
