E.R. 9/25 ( spoilers)

Perhaps losing her Latina lover (the EMT) and a baby caused her to go a little over the edge?

And yes…Jing Mei and Pratt DID schtupp while in the hospital, either during or shortly after the big smallpox scare season before last I think.

So have we all basically come to the conclusion that Luka is NOT dead? I really like Goran Vis-whatsyacallit as an actor and I think he’s really good for the show. Despite his tendencies to be a complete ass, he has his good moments too.

And am I the only one who first saw E.R. and went “HEY! It’s the gay kid from FAME!”?

Jing-Mei and Pratt did not schtupp in the hospital, either during the lockdown or thereafter. Jing-Mei did, however, give Susan a sweater which glowed under a wood’s lamp, thanks to Pratt. (Where’s the barfing smiley?)

Carter and Abby schtupped in the hospital during the lockdown, we know this because Abby got the condoms they used from Jing-Mei.

I’m fairly sure that Carter and Lucy either schtupped or only stopped short of the schtup because of an unlocked door. Unfortunately, this episode was just rerun on TNT last week, so it’ll be four months or so before it’s on again and I can double check.

And as another spoiler…

Kerry and Sandy are still together. Sandy will be popping up briefly in the sixth or seventh episode of the season.

My spoiler sources, since someone asked, are myriad, but the key place which draws together all of my ER information is the ER Blog.

See I thought they broke up or she was written out of the story line, which is why we hadn’t seen her in a while. Ok…now I think it’s straight (LOL) in my head. Carrie is STILL dating Sandy and Luka’s NOT dead, just really sick/injured. DAMN I can’t wait till Thurs night.

I think Neela is a lesbian. Not only did she smirk after her conversation with the elderly patient but just the fact that she’s not in the ER more than 5 minutes and she’s got two men falling all over her. She’s adorable,I won’t be missing any episodes THIS season.

I’ve had it with Abby…what an immature brat. But frankly, I’m not impressed with Carter much either as he takes himself WAAAAAAY to seriously…two peas in a pod. IMHO

At the risk of saying, “it’s an Indian thing, you wouldn’t understand” . . .

Indian women above the age of twenty or so (sometimes earlier) are constantly prodded not to delay marriage. Given Neela’s likely age (mid-20s or thereabouts), she probably has a number of relatives, from her parents on down, who have spent the last 3-4 years (minimum) asking her when she’s going to get married and settle down. The only way to deal with it and maintain some semblance of sanity is to smile and nod and not say anything. Her little smile there suggested to me some amusement at hearing from this elderly patient, who doesn’t know her at all, the same things that she’s been hearing from her relatives for years.

So, I totally didn’t get “lesbian” from her at all. I just sensed a single Indian woman who gets told by a lot of her elders that it is time to get married. In other words, a typical mid-20s single Indian woman.

But yeah, she is a hottie. And I love the haircut - it suits her better than the long hair she had in “Bend It Like Beckham.”

**Yeah, he’s always been like that. He once told Kerry she was going to hell for being a lesbian. He’s also made snide comments about Elizabeth, Jing-Mai and Luka, and chauvanistic comments about the women in general.
I have to admit, I’ve never heard the phrase “Third World Assassin” though. What exactly does it mean?

I assumed the “third world assassin” bit comes from the belief to some in the medical field that foreign doctors or med students are inept and inadvertently kill people from their decisions or actions.

I think that’s what he was getting at. Any other opinions?

Well either that or he assumed that she was Middle Eastern (by her looks and name) and that she was there to blow up the hospital with a syringe bomb or something. shrugs

NAY!

The stain on the sweater was Mountain Dew which also, apparently, glows under a Wood’s lamp.

Carter and Lucy in the X-Ray room? Nope. They started a little groping, and hit the floor, but stopped. She was all for it, but he stopped it, saying they couldn’t, since he was a doctor and she was a student. I’m positive on this point.

Well, Jing-Mei did tell Susan that it was “club soda” when Susan asked her.

She then went into the lounge to toss it into the garbage, the implication being that she only told Susan it was club soda to avoid the “ER Slut” label. Besides, the look on her face when she did it seemed to indicate that something more was going on.

Beside, if it were just soda, I doubt she would’ve thrown it out.

See, I read that as she was mad that Susan would assume the worst (ie, sperm on the sweater) because of her reputation - that is, Susan would automatically expect the worst.

Further, I thought she threw out the sweater because she knew others had been discussing the stain and would continue to discuss it every time she wore the sweater, irrespective of the truth to the story.

Funny how people see things differently, yes?

I always thought that her throwing the sweater out confirmed those “rumors.” Interesting. I wonder if I still have that episode on tape so I can go back and watch it again with this new perspective. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Now, if only I could devote as much time and energy to work as I do to the SDMB and this TV show…
