My granddaughter decided I needed earrings today. She stuck little red glitter heart sticker earrings on my earlobes(crookedly).
WTF? Why did they say “Hey, kids need stickers to stick on their ear lobes”?
We all have pierced ears. Duh.
Who purchased these? Oh, wait it might’ve been me. Been known to pick up anything glittery or shiny. Like that.
Anywhosit..I went to pull them off my earlobes(hey they weren’t even, bugged me)…and a hair pulled. Ouchy.
Who knew earlobes had hair on them?
The Lil’wrekker pulls out a small, neon colored weapon. It was a blade. A micro shaver thingy. I told her “get that away from me. I ain’t shaving my earlobes!”

Welcome to the human aging process. Hair recedes from the places we want it to grow, and starts showing up in places we never wanted it in the first place.
I don’t know your age, Beck, but at 79 I have hair growing where it was never a problem before. Ears, check. Nose, check. High on the cheeks, check. It seems like a full time job trying to keep them at bay.
Strange biological process. No doubt.
The 4in long hair growing on top of my wrist shows me it’s happening. And I accept it.
But, still. Not shaving the lobes.
I been body scaping for rude hairs way too many years to add another task to the routine.
I wonder…
Gotta call my friendly neighborhood waxer…
