Early to Bed and Early to Rise MMP

Squirrel skeet!

Meanies. Squirrels are extremely cute.

We handreared an abandoned babby squirrel when I was little (a red, which are rare here). Very cute, and loved climbing people like a tree, which was fun, though she did have a lot of pointy bits. We were planning on re-releasing, but she thought cars were the best toy ever, so that didn’t happen. She got sent to Scotland where someone had a boyfriend for her instead.

Very confused today- everyone in the house was in the kitchen when I was making breakfast before 9, even though no-one is working today, and everyone is usually nocturnal and not up til mid afternoon.

Checking on the bees later- the person who was gonna help last time is coming over. I may actually take some honey off as well as I think it’ll be ready; not a lot, but if I do, it’ll be my very first harvest

Three power outages last night - lasting just long enough to require me to reset some clocks. Unfortunately, **FCD **called in one of the longer ones, and my phone # is the contact on the account. Naturally, they called back to check - at 10:15 PM when we were both in bed and he was already asleep. Scared the bedoobies outta him before I could get up, find my phone, find my glasses, and stop the ringing.

Incidentally, ever notice how very very quiet it gets when you lose all power at night? Eerie!

But it’s my Firday, so there’s that.

Happy Thursday!!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 74 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 94 and mostly N.O.S. for the day with a heat index around a hunnert. Today is laundry time. I have a load of sheets in the washer as I post. They should be done soon and will go into the dryer. I shall purtify then and when they’re dry (won’t take long) I’ll get ‘em on the bed and then go to the liberry. After that, other laundry awaits. Excitatin’!

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then purtification, liberry time and more laundry await!

Happy Thursday Y’all!

You have only one set of sheets?

Up, caffeinated ,and sheveled. Closing shift tonight.

but 87 tube tops.

Squirrels are rats with cute tails, as far as I’m concerned. (Apologies to Nuts).

Nuts good luck with the honey gathering.

Off to the airport for the return home. Whee! I am tired. Sleeping in places not my bed all to often equals not sleeping very well. Such is life.

OK staff member. Don’t tell another coworker you are making cupcakes for a birthday and show up with nothing. That forces me to go and buy a birthday cake and card when I would not have bothered had you not volunteered to do something. People, I swear… Not happy and still sinusey today.

Last load of laundry is in the dryer. Towels take forever to wash and dry! I do have more than one set of sheets. Matter of fact I have three sets for the master bedroom and two for the guest bedroom. From time to time I will change the set of sheets but mostly I wash and dry the set I took off and put it right back on the bed. The master bedroom sheets are washed weekly. Guest bedroom sheets are washed when they are used. I’m lazy so it’s easier just to wash, dry, and put back on the bed.

ETA: Butters the person who promised cupcakes and didn’t deliver deserves to be publicly shamed.

Swampy I am with you on the sheets. I have many sets of sheets but will usually wash and replace to avoid having to fold a set. Laziness at it’s height.

I like to rotate thru my stash of sheets. Especially since I don’t always wash a set as soon as I strip the bed - I may wait a few days or even a week to get a good line-drying day.

The rest of you are doing it wrong! :stuck_out_tongue:

OK. Lunch is over - back to labors…

Happy Thorsday!

I woke up way too early at 4:46 am and couldn’t get back to sleep. So of course I feel like a zombie right now.

It’s very hot outside. I sat out a bit for my vitamin D. The cat went out with me, but he couldn’t take it and begged to be let back inside. He’s been very good about going out with me and staying by the porch. I would never trust him completely, but he enjoys going out to sit with me and as long as he continues to behave I’ll let him.

Swampy - I thought you said publicly shaVed. I thought that would be an interesting event.

I don’t consider anything that chews through my walls to be cute.
If I had a mallet I could play ‘Whack-A-Squirrel’.

I have so much to do today and I don’t know what order to do it.
I really want a nap more than anything.

They are shaggy tailed rats with good press agents. About as cute as pigeons.

Went shooting ---- practicing for when squirrel season opens ---- and had dinner/lunch. Now settling in to head for work.

I went out to the cee-mint pond for a while but now I’m back inside due to it bein’ hawt out and thunder rumbles in the distant which will probably not amount to anything but when one hears thunder, lightnin’ is not far away. In a little while I shall make shrimp ‘n grits. Coleslaw (sto’ bought, don’t judge) and bizkits shall be the sides.

I haven’t done that since college dorm days.

Home, more or less alone. **FCD **had to go to Beltsville to pick up something which means he’s caught in the traffic coming home from DC. No clue where he is or when he’ll get here.

I just boiled a dozen eggs and they’re cooling in ice water. Shortly, I’ll peel 'em, chop 'em, and salad 'em. Yum! Guess what’s for supper!

Thus endeth my work week.

We have consumed shrimpies ‘n grits and coleslaw. The kitchen is all cleanded up and OYKW is preparin’ himself a bath. All is good.

My sweetie got home around 5:30, exhausted. Too tired for supper, so I had some egg salad and 'lope, and a Klondike bar for dessert.

Time to make more wigs.

ruble, I’ve had bike brain farts like that. :stuck_out_tongue:

Mooooom, it sucks when the power goes out this time of year.

Had a busy day today. Shipped a cow-orker off to North Dakota for a week, still have one in the Phillipines, one headed to Puerto Rico when the guy in the Phillipines comes back, one headed to New Jersey when ND comes back and one headed to Kentucky when PR gets back. I was lucky to be able to slip in a day when puppy doodle comes to Tennessee to get him settled. :stuck_out_tongue:
