easy PC computer qustions

I’m a Mac guy so I need help on a PC.

How do you you selectively delete the ‘History’?
How do you clear Google search history?

(Using IE browser)

Go to [ Tools | Internet Options | General Tab ]

It’s now all or nothing when deleting cookies and history.

Depending what you are referring to, you can also delete history from a drop down bar by clicking on an empty bar at the right hand side to get the drop-down list and hitting Delete to delete single entries or all of them.

If you have a real google task bar at the top of your screen, there is a drop down box to the left to delete entries.

Shag, I’m not following exactly. What empty bar on the right side of what?

Press Control-H. The left side of the window should convert to a list of folders titled “Today”, “Friday”, “Thursday”… working back to “3 Weeks Ago”. This is your History. Open these folders, delete the individual entries, click on the X to make the History subwindow vanish.

A lot of people want to get rid of the history that happens when you open the Google page and then start typing. It will bring up a list of sites that have already been searched. You want to get the drop down box with nothing so you show everything that is stored. That is where the clicking comes in.

After that, holding down the delete key will get rid of it. Clearing the browser options often does not get rid of this and that is what people want to get rid of because it is so obvious.

OK, got it! Thanks all.

On my Mac the backspce key is the delete as well. :smack:
