Dressed to Kill, or Glorious, Bricker? Eddie has a bunch of stand-up tape out, but they tend to be kinda hard to get your paws on. Just don’t bother with Live at the Ambassidors. His website is eddieizzard.com, but there aren’t any tour dates up there yet.
He did tour for Dressed to Kill a couple years ago, and his LA and New York shows were sold out, IIRC.

Eddie Izzard rocks. I’ve been a fan of his since '97. I’ve got both the Dress to Kill and Glorious tapes. I know there quite a few Izzard fans here on the boards. That being said I think he’s quite possibly the funniest man I’ve seen do stand up.
Eddie is huge here in the UK. I’ve been a fan for years and saw his Circle tour last year. Dressed To Kill is a fantastic video, as is Glorious. I have all the videos, his book and even sat through Velvet Goldmine.
I met him too. I have a signed video. It says “Le singe est dans l’arbre”. Nyer nyer nyer.
And BossK? His name is NOT Tracy. He’s an executive transvestite.

I’m an American. A midwesterner to boot. I love Eddie Izzard. (I have watched Dressed to Kill four times on HBO and will watch it again.)
I also like most things British, including the men dressing up as women and acting like idiots part.
I don’t much care for any Pommies who think they ‘get’ Americans and try to pigeonhole us.

Perhaps it wasn’t really meant on such a broad scale?
I first heard of Mr Izzard when he was on (I think) The Montreaux Comedy Festival on (I think) the UK’s C4. He did a skit about being brought up by wolves. I remember them havign a little car and they stuck their head out of the windows, letting the wind blow their ears back.
Does anyone have any idea where I can get hold of this on video, audio or even just the script. It was hilarious.

Bricker, if you can, get the VHS of Dress to Kill. It’s about thirty-five minutes longer than the HBO special, with some really, really good bits.
I met him in London. He was filming a promo film for charity and I went up to him and shook his hand.
He looked rather bemused.

Just another “silly” American checking in to say I love Eddie Izzard. I’ve seen DTK about 1000 times, as I have it on tape and watch it about every other week. Eddie’s got a pretty decent following here in my town, because everyone I show the tape to loves it.
I think we’ll give BossK the choice “Or Death?”
Oh, and Niobium? I just love those generalized references to Americans. Yup, we’re juse all the same over here…
