Yep.
Oh oh going to see him in San Francisco - on September 11th no less. My girlfriend and I figured that was as good of a way as any to spend the day, and it might make for an interesting show.
Sigh…it is odd that I find a hetrosexual cross-dresser movingly sexy? Or maybe I just want him for his wit…

My wife and I will be there on Friday. I’ve been trying to remember to check when I bought the tickets, but I think it was probably earlier than you – more like mid-June. And they’d been available for at least a couple of weeks before that, because my coworker bought hers in early June or maybe even late May. Seems like an odd way to promote the concert, but if it sold out, why waste money on advertising?
@#!$#!#@!@# Sold Out. Unless I want to drop $235.00 per ticket.
So. Damn. Tempted. Anyways.
Skerri - as a resident of Philly, and a huge Izzard fan, thank you so much for this thread. I bought tix for me and my wife for the Nov. 7 show, and I can’t thank you enough.
When it’s someone like Eddie, it seems like the Right People always manage to find out.
Had to resurrect this thread to say I saw Sexie and it was freakin’ hysterical. I realize now that seeing him on video does not do him justice.
Damn I was looking forward to this for so long and now it is over. Can one spoil a stand-up act? Not gonna bother spoiler boxing it, so don’t read if you don’t want to know but I’m not going into much detail. I can’t remember any specific jokes now but I know I was screaming with laughter.
Considering it was 9/11 he wasn’t very political, but did do some jokes about reading the Qur’an on a plane, and his dad’s knowledge of Arabic. There was a long funny section on Cro-Magnon man, and about his breasts. Oh and a section about Captain Transvestite. It was actually better than I expected and I’m going to have to re-watch all his past shows tonight I think.
And he had on fabulous shoes.
