I admit way back when I was hoping Bernie Sanders would be the nominee, but now I’m glad he wasn’t.
With the race as close as it was, Bernie would’ve lost for sure.
So, I’m glad it was Biden who became the nominee.
We can still push for Bernie’s ideas, but this intermediate step was necessary to get to the White House and end the insanity.

The City of Salem, Oregon is warning of credible threats for today of vandalism and property damage. They say it is unconnected with local BLM protests. This article makes a suggestion of a connection to right-wing protestors. Salem was subjected to several truck brigade protests last year – my guess is something from the same people.
I remember some comedian or talk show host say about the Obama years, I miss having a president I could go a full week without thinking about what he was up to. That’s what we should be getting back to, and thank God for that.

The Washington post reports that, “After Biden declared winner, some prominent Republicans insist the race isn’t over”. Who are these “prominent Republicans”? Reps. Matt Gaetz, Jody Hice, and Paul A. Gosar. That’s a very generous interpretation of “prominent.”
Can someone explain why Chump is refusing to concede? He says there will be lawsuits. Can he DO that? Will he have to be shoved out of the White House?

It doesn’t matter if he “concedes.” At noon on January 20, he will go from being President Donald Trump to private citizen Donald Trump. He will be politely asked to leave the White House grounds, and if he refuses he will be gently escorted out.

I went to Facebook expecting to see shrieks of outrage and cries of woe from Trumpsters. Crickets. A few are sharing recipes, sending birthday wishes to relatives, posting memories of their kids from years ago. That’s it. It’s a good sign…unless the rest are too busy cleaning their guns and plotting revenge.
Anybody want to speculate about what impact, if any, this could (legally) have on the potential Federal charges (Conspiracy, Obstruction) referenced in the Mueller Report, but deferred for obvious reasons ??

I think a Biden win was priced in by Thursday. But it’s possible that the reality of COVID, and the measures that will be necessary, could again be front and center. I hope we get some good news on a vaccine soon.
I wish he had to pack his own shit. The idea of Trump standing in front of a closet full of his suits, a box next to him, slowly starting to pack, really thrills me.
But of course they will have people for that. He’s probably literally never done that.
