Election Day [Week][Month[s]] [Year] 2020 follow-along thread

Heh. I happen to be watching FOX right now. In the shot of whatever crowd they were showing, a young woman was holding a ‘FUCK TRUMP’ sign, and the camera zoomed right in on it. The woman anchor asked them to get it off the screen.

This is well said:

“We’re going to win so much that you’re going to be sick and tired,” Donald Trump promised in 2016. Over the next four years, the American people did get sick (nearly 10 million of them so far from COVID-19), and they did get tired, and in the end they decided they’d had enough.

Below James Buchanan.

There are a few in some of the local groups (“Eye on …”) That are refusing to call this “official.”. They’re banking on lawsuits that will Uncover Teh Truth ™.

Yeah, with Rudy 9/11 in charge of lawsuits demanding recounts, Biden might win Florida and Texas after all!

Here’s what it looked like last time the Google Street View car drove past that parking lot:

When Joe speaks tonight… and I’m halfway serious here… he should hint that he is Q.

He can do this by merely saying ‘Ladies and gentlemen, The Storm has arrived!’

I don’t personally like Hillary, maybe some of Bill’s sleaziness rubbed off on her, but I was floored by her performance in the Benghazi hearings. Unlike a lot of the clowns who seem to only know enough about the law to convince the rubes they’d be good in politics, her lawyer and trial skills shone through in her unbreakability on the stand. While I like the “no more malarkey” straightforwardness of Biden on a personal level, I think coolness under fire is a more important quality, leader-wise. Beer-wise, sure, I’d rather hang out with Biden, but I’d prefer Hillary for the clear-headedness to know and do what it takes to get things done.

Please please please please please…!

And then NEVER mention it again, ever. EVER.

Ditto. Thanks to everyone for helping us all get through this together.

I’m not great with American history, but Woodrow Wilson seemed pretty bad. So I dunno, maybe 2nd worst? This would be a good question for Great Debates.

I’d put Franklin Pierce, Warren Harding and Buchanan below Wilson.

Trump? In a basement.

The view shown is the back (and may be where the presser was held, true.)

BUT!!!

If you go to the street (not the ally), here’s the next door neighbor to the crack Trump team’s conference:

Google Photos

That’s just gold. GOLD.

C-SPAN recently interviewed an historian from, IIRC, Stanford. He said that Buchanan is traditionally at the bottom of the list.

He then went on to say that [paraphrasing], henceforth, historians will never have to argue for even ten minutes about who the worst POTUS ever was.

[not to put too fine a point on it]

Oh God yes. I want to bored by the President. I want to go a day, a week a month, with nary a word as to what he’s up to. I’m no longer being held hostage on the set of the world’s worst reality show…

I just realized my TV has been on Fox for a while. They are really trying to get a message through to Trump and the message is it’s over. They have had a couple of Trump surrogates on but they shoot them down.

I think some of the debunking of the fraud allegations may backfire, I’m kind of impressed at how clean it is, considering the scale of the election.

The “dead people voting” turned out to be 4 people. 2 of them sent in absentee ballot requests and their info wasn’t in the county database. Both voters were visited by officials who checked their ID before giving them a ballot, but their full info wasn’t updated in the computer and their DOB defaulted to 01/01/1901. The third was a guy whose late father had the same name, and the ballot they sent was for the father, not the son. After they checked it out and determined that no vote had been counted under the son’s name, his vote counted. The last one was a guy who has the same name as a recently deceased man.
All that scrutiny and only 4 “irregularities”, all easily explained. That actually gives me a lot of confidence in the system.

Trump is, in my considered opinion, the worst. No other president was as bad by as many measures as Trump.

And here’s a thought I had a few minutes ago. Won’t it be nice to have a president with a sense of humor again? I know this may be one of the least important things, but oh, it’s good to know we’ll have a president who can laugh, even at himself. How many times have you seen Trump laugh?

The view was in the back (I’m the person who navigated through street view for that shot and it wasn’t an alley, but the street behind the Four Seasons Total Landscaping) as that is where the press conference was held. They basically had to move some of those trucks out of the way to make room).

In the interest of complete accuracy, the porn shop isn’t next door. The front of the landscaping company is about 18 feet beyond that old brick building in the background of your photo, with that 18 feet hosting a towing company, so it would take a good 15 seconds or so to jog over to the porn shop.

Imho, Andrew Jackson was the President who caused the most damage to his country, but not even Andy managed to kill 220,000 of his fellow citizens.

Lol, I accept the correction.
